Flame 1: Iced Heart

Kaitlin POV

"Kaitlin, leave now. You have to live for me" I saw my best friend, the princess of the fire kingdom, Ashlyn. As I tried to hard keeping my sword up defending her with everything I had. Seeing my wolf, Firefly, trying to take down the soliders.

"Kaitlin, I wouldn't have saved you of you didn't follow my orders." She screamed and as I kept fighting to see a path way I grabbed her hand started to sprint as fast as I could with my bruised, battered and bloody legs could carry me. Firefly didn't follow me and I understood why. Please, rest in peace my companion. As tears started to bored my eyes and we made a distance from the soilders.

Ashlyn stopped me, and I turned to see her with sorrow and anger. "Your majesty, my final request is to protect you. Please let me do that" I smiled and tears fell from eyes and rolled off my cheek and burned in my cuts. She touched my blonde, dirt, blood stained hair and hugged me.

"Kaitlin please forgive, thanks for being such amazing friend" She whispered and I started to feel ice grow on my back. She then backed off holding up her locket that I gave to her. She smiled as tears fell down her cheeks.

"Ashlyn" I screamed before the ice reached my whole body. I do forgive you but can I forgive myself.

5,000 years later

Nastu POV

"I look how big that ice is" I screamed and ran to it.

"Be careful, the guy said he says a red crystal from almost 5,000 years ago. He just wanted us to break the ice and get the crystal. Then the heels are good as ares." Lucy said and I started to smirk.

"Let's have a contest flame brain" Gray said and my smirked even became wider.

"Let's go Popsicle stick" I said and then we began melting the ice and then I saw the necklace.

"Found it" I yelled and dove in to grab it before ice princess does. When I did it didn't budge. "It's stuck on something" I yelled and tried again when I did some ice broke off and I saw the necklace was around a neck! I fell off the ice and started to yell.

"Oi, Nastu what's wrong" Gray yelled and he saw it too.

"What's wrong with you" Lucy yelled and I looked at her.

"I think that necklace is on someone's body." I whispered and Erza jumped on the ice and cut off the other half off. It was a girl sleeping it seemed. She was wearing a knight uniform. She was wearing necklace and she was crying.

"Is she dead" Wendy asked and I shrugged.

"Miss, are you okay" Lucy said and tapped her. Her eyes widen and shot back. She grabbed her sword and got up and then fell.

"My ankle" She whispered and started to cry.

"Are you okay" Erza said and shook her head. Then I looked at her wrist and she had mark on each of them.

"What's you name." I asked and she looked at me.

"Kaitlin Tribe, Knight of the Fire Kingdom, and protector of Princess Ashlyn." She said and her eyes started to look at us.

"Fire Kingdom" Lucy said and we all looked at her.

"Tribe-San, please can I see you wrist" Wendy said and she nodded.

"What are these" She said and pointed at her marks.

"These are marks of a Kingdoms" She said and was embarrassed by hers.

"I'm a disgrace to both of my races. I'm spouse to born with one but, I was born with both. Night and Fire." She sighed and tried to get up and then fell.

"Kaitlin please, we need take you some where." Erza said and she got up but this time Lucy helped her and she smiled.

"Sorry I'm not like this, but what happened to Element war." She asked and we all looked at each other than back at her.

"I'm sorry Kaitlin, but that was was done almost 5,000 years ago" I said and her eyes widen.

"No, that can't be" She whispered and tears started to go down her face.
