Ace: Alright ladies' tonight we go big or go home. Tonight's operation is one of the most important ones we will have in a while which is why I came here to deliver the plan myself.
Ace is the head of our operation. He's like the King of the east coast. He gets what he wants when he wants it and nobody dares to cross him.
Ace: There are a lot of big spenders here tonight looking for a woman to invest in and possibly spend the rest of their life with. These operations could take months at a time so keep your eye on the prize.
I felt kind of nervous , tonight was my first big operation. I was used to the sleezy guys I would have to hook up with to steal thousands of dollars while leaving no trace of myself. My real name is Kayla. I never use anything real about me in my operations. If I were to get caught, I'd rather deal with the cops than deal with Ace. I didn't know what to expect because I mostly see old men and a few nerds wandering around at this masquerade ball.
Confused? Let me explain my life. My parents were killed when I was younger. I got put in a foster home but I ran away because of the constant sexual abuse. I was homeless and had no money or family. I was wandering around the streets one day and I met Ace. I really wish I could re-do that day. He preyed on me, I was young and dumb and had nothing. He promised me a better life to the point where I could have anything I wanted. I believed and after that my life has been a living hell. I used to try to hide from him but he always found me. It's like once your in his web there's no getting out. His business uses women to seduce rich men to steal thousands and even millions of dollars. I met a few guys who I thought I was in love with but they were just screwing me over just like Ace. I hated my life but I had no choice but to live it...
We were getting out of the van dressed in our tight dresses to show off our bodies, our 6 inch heels, and our masks. Bryan saw the look on my face and told me everything was going to be okay. Bryan worked for Ace as well. But he wasn't an asshole like him. He was like an older brother to me. He always covered for me when I would be in deep trouble with Ace, he protects me, and he is just always there for me. We made a promise to get out with each other or die trying.
I put my mask on and headed into the building. I targeted an old man but he started talking about children and I had to make my way out of there. 2 hours had passed and I had no luck of finding anyone to target. I made my way into a corner and sat
down. I took off my mask and begin fiddling with my phone. I was trying to get rid of thoughts of dealing with Ace. I was hoping he would cut me some slack since it was my first time.
Man: Well hello beautiful.
I looked up and it was Trey Songz. I could see a group of girls a couple of feet away staring at him in awe.
Me: Hi, I'm Melissa. I extended my hand out for a hand shake.
Trey: Tremaine.
Me: Yeah I'm pretty sure everyone here knows who you are. You even have a little fan club over there. I pointed to the group of girls stalking him.
They tried to hurry and turn around before he could see them.
Trey: Well I'm not interested in what they're doing. I'm more interested in finding out why your looking so upset. Maybe I could make you happy again.
For some reason his last sentence kept re-playing in my head. "Make you happy again". It sounded so genuine I guess.
Me: Just some personal issues. Something I have no power over.
Trey: Well, if they're personal issues you should have power over them. It's your life.
Was this guy in my head or something? He was saying all the right things.
Me: Yeah, well sometimes life isn't that simple.
Trey: Well, would you care to dance with me, that would be simple since I'm not the greatest dancer in the world.
Me: Laughs. I don't mind if I do. I put my hand in his and he led me to the dance floor.
He put his hands around my waist and I put my hands around his neck. We swayed slowly to the music playing. He then began starting up a new conversation.
Trey: So where are you from?
Me: I'm from Washington D..... State.
I couldn't believe it. I almost slipped up and told him something true about myself. I never ever did that.
Me; What about you?
Trey spun me out and twirled me back in.
Trey: Petersburg, Virginia.
Me: O so how'd you become the notorious Trey Songz Tremaine?
Trey: Like every other male teen I was trying to be a rapper. But people started telling me I should aim for being a singer because I had a nice voice. So I started getting into singing when I was about 14.
DJ: Hey everybody we have a very special guest in here today. Some of you may have already seen him but RnB sensation Trey Songz is in the building.
Trey: Mumbles while waving and smiling. And this is one of the downfalls of being famous.
DJ: And now his latest single "Sex Ain't Better Than Love", idk if I can agree with that man laughs
The DJ put on the record and shined the spotlight on us.
DJ: You and your girl wanna put on a show.
I tried to motion to the DJ that were not together but Trey grabbed my hand and said...
Trey: Let's put on a show.
We danced to his song. After we were done we received a light applause. The DJ took the spotlight off of us and began playing more upbeat music. Trey took my hand and led me to a loveseat in his VIP area. We sat down.
Trey: You're a pretty good dancer.
Me: Thanks, I've pretty much been dancing all my life. Well at least until I was 14. I stopped after that. .
Trey: Why did you stop.
Me: I um had a pretty bad accident with my leg and haven't been able to dance like I wanted ever since.
Trey: I'm sorry...
Me: It's fine. I mean it is what it is.
Me: But what about our comment on the dance floor about the down falls of being famous.
Trey: Nothing, just that fame isn't always as fun as it is brought out to be. There are some fun times, but a lot of stress, and just having a life of the celebrity version of you only exists. Like everyone sees Trey and the only people that see Tremaine is my family and close friends.
Me: Well I would like to get to know Tremaine... well only if he's willing to show himself.
Trey: Tremaine would like that. flashing a smile
We exchanged numbers and his body guard motioned to Trey that he had to leave.
**LATER THAT NIGHT**
Bryan: I'm going out of town for a week. I'm leaving tonight. If you need it there's a pistol under the bed in a shoebox.
Me: Okay. What you gotta do?
Bryan: I gotta go pay some nigga to keep his mouth shut and do a trade-off.
Me: O what he see?
Bryan: He saw Ace personally kill someone girl.
Me: O...
Bryan: I gotta get to the airport.
Me: Okay be safe... gives him a hug.
