"You're back...?" Haku x Reader

Chapter 1: You're not Sen!

Hello! My name is (y/n). My mom has always told me stories about the spirit world, but I never really believed them. I still don't believe them. The house I live in belonged to my grandma and grandpa and now it's mine and my mom's house. I always get so bored, but that's ok! I live near the entrance to an abandoned amusement park, but I've never been through the entrance completely. Today I challenge that fear! "(Y/n)! Don't run too far! You'll get lost if you go in there!" My mom yells after me while I begin to enter the park. I look back and my mom has disappeared. Where'd she go?! I keep walking through the entrance and I look around at the beautiful grass and flowers. Then I hear a woman's voice...mom?!
"Sen?! You're back?!" A woman with long brown hair dressed in a bathhouse attendants uniform runs towards me and hugs me. "You've been gone for a while, huh, Sen?" She says smiling. She steps back a bit and lightly gasps. "You are Sen, right?" She smells me a bit and puts her hands on her hips.
I shake my head silently and say, "No, ma'am. My name is (y/n). I was coming here with my mom, Chihiro, but she's disappeared." After a bit of thinking the woman walks with me to a bathhouse. "Well, (y/n), my name is Lin. You smell human, but we haven't had any humans here since Sen." She says thinking a bit. "Don't worry. I'll introduce you to Sen's friends here then we'll find your mom." She gives me a reassuring smile.
As we keep walking through the bathhouse all I hear is the name 'Sen'. Women are pointing at me and then as quickly as I can catch my breath an elderly woman is in front of Lin and I. "So you've returned, Sen? I refuse to give you a job again." The woman with way too many rings on her fingers says. I get angry and groan. "My name is not Sen! And listen if I have to work for you to find my mom then I will!" I yell crossing my arms. The woman smells me a bit then looks me up and down. First at my (h/c) hair that's in a braid, then at my (e/c) anger filled eyes, and lastly at me in general. She gasps and says, "You really aren't Sen! Come with me." She smiles as she drags me to an elevator and all the way to what looks like an office with 3 bouncing heads, a bird that resembles her, and a giant baby?! I begin to freak out, but it then I stop once I've noticed my mouth feels like it's been zipped closed. The woman gives me a random piece of paper and a pen and chuckles. "Write your mother's name down and if I recognize the name I'll let you get a job here. If I don't I'll turn you into a pig." I nod both understanding and scared. The woman waits a bit before taking the paper and then gasps. "Sen is your mother?! Come look." She says showing me the paper. There's one symbol left in my mom's name spelling out the name, 'Sen'. She looks at me and smiles happily. "I have a small score to settle with your mother, which is probably why you can't find her. Work for me and you'll see your mother again. Here's your contract." She says handing me a fancier piece of paper and a pen. I carefully write my name on it and hand it to her. "I love your name, which is why it's mine now. Your new name is (n/n). Let's try it out, (n/n)." She says looking at me with a smile. I nod a bit and say, "Yes ma'am! My name is (n/n)." I look at the giant baby and he's looking back at me confused as well. The woman chuckles and says, "Silly me! My name is Yubaba. Haku should be coming up soon. For now I suggest you eat this before you disappear." She makes a dumpling float towards me and I eat it quietly.
I hear a boys voice next to me after I finish the dumpling. "Sen? You're back?" He says with a smile. I shake my head and say, "No. My name is (n/n). Sen is my mom." I can see how sad he becomes, but he's told by Yubaba that I'm working there and she wants him to take me back to Lin.
I follow Haku to an elevator and gulp. "I'm sorry that I'm not my mom. I can see why everyone is confused. I'm the only other human that has ever-." He interrupts me and says, "Do not talk to me and you will address me as Master Haku." Wow ok. Rude! I cross my arms and scoff at him. "No wonder my mom didn't stay. You're so rude!" I says defensively. I cover my mouth almost immediately, but he just simply ignores me.
Once I meet back up with Lin she begins to give me the same clothes as her and she even begins to talk about when my mom was here saving grandma and grandpa. "Your mom was a dummy, but she grew on me and on Kamaji the boiler man. She loved Haku, but she was only working here to save her parents. You remind me of her."
