1. All Hands On Deck

I woke up, happy and refreshed. After all: every day is a new adventure. You meet new people, you experience new things, it's all wonderful.

It may be a little hard in this small ass town in North Carolina, but I can manage.

I took a quick shower and changed into a blue top, skinny jeans, converse, and grabbed my book bag. I ran downstairs and saw a note on the table.

Your mom and I are on a business trip. Here's some money so you and your brother won't starve. We love you.

I sighed and rolled my eyes. As usual. "Danny! Come on, I need to take you to the bus stop." I heard his little feet run down the stairs and soon him show up by my feet. "C'mon kiddo." I grabbed his hand and we walked out.

"Are you coming to my concert?" he asked.

"Of course! When is it?"

"5:30." he replied, smiling.

"Ok. Can I bring Mandy and Eva?" I asked. He nodded, smiling, and showing off his missing tooth. "Good." his bus pulled up and I kissed him on the cheek. "Bye, Danny!" A couple minutes later, Eva's car pulled up and I got in. "Hey, babes." I said to her.

"Hey, hey! Did you know? Nash is ten times hotter now!" she said, driving.

"Who?"

"You know! The kid with the weird first name so everyone calls him Nash. He's super tall, buff, with stunning blue eyes?" I shrugged.

"If he's chase worthy, I'll talk to him."

"Sometimes, I feel like you're a lion or something. You're always chasing your prey."

"Sorry, I don't wait for them to come to me like some people. That's a waste of time. Oh, can you come to my brother's concert?"

"Yeah but... isn't he 5?"

"Yeah, but they still have these spring sings." she nodded and we pulled up to our school. "Leggo!" We walked up the steps and immediately, I bumped into someone.

"Sorry." a rather sexy voice said. I looked up and saw a scarily hot guy smirking at me.

"No, it was my fault..." I pushed some hair behind my ear and blushed.

"I'll see you around." I nodded and waved. Eva and me walked in, but we were soon greeted by Mandy.

"Who the fuck was that? He looks like a sex God!" I said, smiling like crazy.

"Who?!" Mandy asked, excited.

"Nash." Eva said, smirking.

"The Nash, like the one we were talking about?" I asked. She nodded, smiling. "Damn. I want him."

"You're a slut." Mandy said, laughing.

"I know. But I actually don't care. He's gorgeous and I want that ass." we laughed and headed to class.

I put on a black dress and pearl earrings. I slipped on some nude flats the turned toward the girls. "Yes or no?" I asked, smirking.

"Yes! Now, let's go." Danny was already at his school, practicing so we just had to be there.

When we got there, it was just starting to get packed. Somehow, I noticed Nash in the crowd, talking to a younger boy and a couple. I walked over and sat relatively near him. The girls got the hint and sat next to me. "Does he have a younger sibling?" Mandy asked. I shrugged.

"Maybe? Let's just get him to see me." we laughed and talked amongst ourselves. After a couple minutes, the show started and a little blonde girl came onstage.

"Hi, everyone. I'm Skylynn. And tonight we are playing many songs for you!" she pointed her tiny finger to the audience. "Enjoy!" the crowd applauded and I heard the younger boy sitting next to Nash shout, "Yeah, Skylynn! Woohoo!", then get scolded by Nash. I laughed a little a watched the show. It was so cute. They sung Wonderful World, Penny Lane, and ended with Uptown Funk. How adorable is that?

I walked backstage and gave Danny a huge hug. "Danny you were so amazing!" I kissed his forehead and cheeks multiple times before he started to squirm. I stood up and held his hand. We walked outside but I soon saw Nash. He waved toward me, so I walked over.

"Hey. That was a pretty good concert, am I right?" he asked.

"Yeah. They are too cute... Is she your little sister?" I asked, looking at the same adorable blonde girl from the concert. He nodded. "Well she's beautiful and an amazing singer." she blushed and smiled.

"Hey um..." he rubbed the back of his neck. "I was wondering if you wanted to hang out this weekend? Maybe just chilling and getting to know each other?"

"Yeah, definitely."

"We could play a couple games?"

"Sure, what time?" I asked.

"How about 7:45pm, tomorrow, at 35 Oakland Drive." I smiled and nodded.

"See you there." I winked at him and walked back to Mandy and Eva. "We already have a date!" I squealed.

"That's what that was? I thought it was a play date.... I don't like you with boys, we have cooties." Danny said, crossing his arms.

"But the cooties are the best part." Eva said, smirking. Mandy and I laughed then walked to Eva's car. She drove us home and we had a sleepover. Basically watching tons of horror movies and binge eating Snickers.

We ended up going to bed around 3:00am, but I would still have time to sleep and wake up at the right time for our date.

It's funny. Nash was the first thing I thought of when I went to bed.
