Victoria G: What inspired you to become a singer?

Tyler Cole: I could always harmonize, but I never aspired to do anything music. One day I just picked up a guitar, and the rest just fell into place.

VG: What is your favorite thing about singing?

TC: The expression of emotion.

VG: Who are your musical inspirations?

TC: I have a lot of inspiration from nu metal, Seattle grunge scene from the 90s, 80s rock, etc.

VG: What is your songwriting process?

TC: I just don't try to write. When I'm not thinking about music the words come to me.

VG: What messages are important for you to express through your music?

TC: Hope, I believe in relating to others and bringing some kind of connection through that.

VG: Do you play any instruments?

TC: I play guitar.

VG: How would you describe yourself in three words?

TC: Brave, kind and loving

VG: Do you have any hidden talents?

TC: I don't think I have anything that's hidden.

VG: Where do you see yourself in ten years?

TC: I never look too far in the future. I try to focus on what's happening now.

VG: What advice do you have for an aspiring singer?

TC: I don't think I have any advice for anybody because I'm a student myself learning everyday.

VG: What advice do you have for an aspiring songwriter?

TC: Write what you feel.

TC: I play guitar a lot, but I enjoy coffee and cooking.
