Jane knew that she and Tinkerbell had to get to Hangman's Tree as soon as humanly possible, but the rain and wind was making it really hard to see anything.
"Come on Jane! We need to hurry! Peter and the Lost Boys need our help." A jingling voice spoke up in a frantic tone. It was Tinkerbell. She was Peter's fairy companion and his best friend.
"Yeah I know, Tink. Come on, let's go faster! We need to hurry before any more bad things happen!" Jane replied in response to the panicking fairy.
It took a wile but they soon arrived to Hangman's tree. There was a small group of fairies waiting near the entrance to the hideout. Upon coming closer to the large tree, the fairy's began to swarm both Jane and Tinkerbell.
"Tink, it's getting worse." One of the fairies began in a scared voice. "The Pixy Dust Tree has stopped producing Pixy Dust." A fairy with black hair wearing a blue dress informed Tinkerbell with a panicked look on her face.
The tinker fairy sighed softly and shook her head back and forth. "I don't know, Sil. I honestly don't know." She looked up at the Pixy Dust Tree and it was then that she remembered something.
"It's because of Peter," she suddenly exclaimed. "His soul is connected to Neverland, remember? And it's not just the Pixy Dust Tree, Sil. All of Neverland is affected by whatever this is because something's wrong with Peter. He's unstable right now and the whole island is dying without Peter's imagination to keep Neverland from fading away into dreams." The tinker fairy continued after a short pause. "I'm not 100% sure, but I'm thinking that something's wrong. I'm not sure what but it must be pretty bad if the whole island is effected."
Once those words left the tinker fairies mouth, Jane frowned and turned toward the direction of Peter's hideout.
"How does Peter being unstable fit into Neverland's problems?" Jane inquired, not fully understanding what was happening to Peter or Neverland. "Why is this happening, Tink? Is there a way to fix it?"
"Peter Pan is the guardian of Neverland... her spirit is connected to the island. Neverland feeds off of her magic-" Once Fawn realized what she had said, she covered her mouth, but it was already too late. Once something has been said, it can't be taken back.
"FAWN!" Tinkerbell and Silvermist shouted in horror while Jane just blinked rapidly at the animal fairies words.
"Wait, what? Peter's a-" Jane started to say but was cut off by Tink, who quickly covered the girl's mouth with her small hands, her sky blue eyes wide in panic as she stared Jane down.
"N-nothing, it's nothing Jane! Just don't worry about it, Peter can take care of himself just fine... well, I mean, for the most part anyway-" She trailed off and looked down to pear into Jane's still-shocked looking face.
"But Peter-" Yet again she was cut off by Tinkerbell sending her a warning look. "Never mind." She muttered under her breath and lowered her gaze to the floor. "Anyway, you were saying?" She raised a question eyebrow at Tink, who held her gaze for a few seconds more before beginning where she had left off.
"Let's just focus on helping Peter and saving Neverland." Chimed in a brown-haired fairy in a pirate outfit. "We're gonna run out of time if we just sit around doing nothing."
Jane, Tinkerbell, and the other fairies all nodded thier heads in agrement at that and together, the small group shared a look before nodding again and taking to the sky, gaze focused straight ahead and making their way to Hangman's Tree.

Peter was pacing in circles in the hideout. As she kept it up, she could feel eyes watching her like a hawk.
"Uh, hey, Peter? What's going on?" Slightly asked, making her stop pacing to look at him. "Why does everything look so lifeless and dark outside? And why do we have to stay in the hideout?"
"If you haven't noticed," she growled, her forest green eyes narrowing into angry, cat-like slits as she spoke. "Everything in Neverland is dying and I don't know why." The Never-child almost screamed, tears pricking at the corner of her eyes as she turned away from them. She didn't want her boys to see her cry again. She's done enough of that already these past few weeks and she didn't want to break down sobbing right now either.
The boys all drew back, not sure what to make of their leader's sudden outburst. They weren't sure what was happening, but they knew one thing for sure, Peter was stressed and freaking out about the safety and well-being of their home.
"Uh, Peter?" Slightly called out, drawing Peter's gaze to his. "Is there anything we can do to help?" He asked their leader with a worried frown forming on his face as he stared up into Peter's wide, panic-filled eyes.
It was silent for a few moments before Peter finally spoke up. "I-I don't think so, Slightly." She replied meekly, voice quiet and eyes downcast.
The eternal youth held back an annoyed groan and sighed, muttering curses in the fairy language under her breath as she resumed her nervous pacing.
"It'll be alright, Peter. Everything will be back to normal sooner or later." Cubby chimed in, trying to bring their leader's spirts back up. "Come on, Peter! All we gotta do is stay positive and think of happy things."
The older girl scowled and turned to face him with a furious glare painted across her normally calm features. "Well it's kinda hard to think of happy thoughts when everything around you is dying!" Peter deadpanned, rolling her eyes and staring glumly out the window.
"So, now what do we do, Peter?" Nibs chimed in, walking up to stand next to Slightly. "Hey I know! Maybe Captain Jake and his mateys can help us." That seemed to make Peter stop her pacing for a few seconds, but then she frowned and shook her head.
"No, I don't want to bother them with this." Peter told him with a soft sigh. "I'm not sure how much help they'd be in this situation anyway."
"We need to solve this problem!" Jane cried despertly. "Come on Tink, we need to go inside Hangman's tree right now!" Tink tried to speak up, but Jane was already inside the tree. With an annoyed huff, Tink quickly followed the impatient girl down the hole.
When they entered the hideout, the sound of someone sliding down the tunnel made Peter and the Lost Boys jump in shock.
"Jane." The leader of the Lost Boys gasped in shock. "How did you get here?" Peter asked her, her poneytail whipping around her shoulder as she turned to face the other girl.
Jane rolled her eyes and gave the other girl a playful shove.
"We slid down the tree of course." She said sassily, causing Peter to laugh.
Tinkerbell blinked and chimed in with her own response. "But Peter, how are we going to restore the island's magic?" Peter frowned and stared at her fairy companion with a hopeless look on her face.
"I don't know Tink, I honestly don't know." She replied, tugging on her loose strands of hair in frustration and panic.
"We need to make a plan." Tinkerbell said, landing on her friends shoulder. Peter sighed for what felt like the twentieth time that day as she walked over to the small table in the center of the room.
"I know Tink, but I don't know what to do." The never-child cried out, her eyes brimming with tears and her hands clenched into fists at her sides.
"Maybe we do need help from Captain Jake and his mateys after all," she whispered to herself, grabbing a peace of paper and writing something down.
After a few more moments of silance, Peter turned to face everyone. "We're going to save Neverland," she gave them a small smile and continued. "And my pirate crew will help us out."
