Make you mine

In moments of reflection, I often wonder,
If there was a chance, an action to uncover.
Could a special gift or a bit more makeup,
Have changed the course, made our connection shake up?

Rewinding time, going back to the past,
A fantasy where our love might forever last.
Were there words left unsaid or a different sign,
To ensure you'd be mine, to make our stars align?

Maybe there's a scenario, a chance to find,
A magic moment that would change your mind.
A varied choice, a twist in the rhyme,
To rewrite our story, a love to sublime.

Or perhaps, it's me, a realization slow,
Something about me you didn't want to know.
A feature or a trait that you didn't like,
Leaving me to ponder, to question and strike.

In this complex dance of what-ifs and why,
I seek answers in the vast, open sky.
A mix of wondering and a touch of regret,
Hoping for clarity, in a mind still set.

Sometimes I ponder, question, and ask,
If our love was a riddle, a puzzling task.
Yet, reality lingers, it's a pondering chase,
Leaving me with memories and a wistful trace.
