/The forgotten/

I opened MY eyes to the bright sun blaring through my windows while the dreaded step mother was stood over me.

"Jesus woman, scare me to death why don't you" I blurted out, while she scowled at me as if I was a homeless person that had stole her bed.

"well that would do me and your dad a favour, but no the best I'm getting is you moving miles away from us, and of course I wanted to get you up so you can get out of... MY house quicker" she exclaimed.

I sat there contemplating why I ended up with such a horrible step mum, considering my dad is kindest person there is to walk this earth and my mother... well... my mother was an angel, who would do anything for anyone, but this woman couldn't be further from my mother in every way possible.

Lets describe this evil step mother a little so you get my picture.

She's a blonde, fake, squeaky voiced witch, wears clothes that only the richest on the earth could afford, she thinks her twin 5 year old girls Harper and Lola are diamonds and that her 17 year old son Bradley doesn't smoke weed on the daily and screw girls like there's no tomorrow. She also definitely only married my dad for the money.

"Carly... what time is it?" I asked still half asleep trying to look for my phone.

"Its just turned 8, so get up, get sorted and go!" she shouted as she walked out of my room, I see the girls peering through, looking for trouble.

"Hi girls, do you need anything?" I asked sitting up in bed and pulling the cover over myself.

"just waiting for you to leave so we can have your room" they answered, giggling and running off down the corridor, I heard their feet patter down the stairs.

I can't wait to get out of this house, I know I will miss dad and Bradley, even though he can be a douche we do get on, he talks to me a lot about his problems and how he basically hates his own mother too seen as she doesn't understand him. I don't really understand him either but I will still sit there and listen. He is quite entertaining with all his stories.

I start to get out of bed, knowing this may be the last time I ever get out of this bed in the bedroom that I have been in since I was a baby.

I then hear a slight tap on the door, hearing this quiet tap I knew straight away that it was my dad. I turned around straight away and saw him standing there with my favourite cup with tea in it I'm guessing and I run straight up to him and hug him tightly around his waist.

"Woahh, calm down love you still have a couple of hours before we have to leave for your flight, you're not losing me quite yet" he exclaimed while looking down at me.

"I know but it's all starting to feel real dad, like I'm going... I won't see you every day like I do now, its all going to change" I whispered while getting a small sniffle, knowing I was getting upset just from the hug.

"Oh Boo, you're starting your adventure today, making new friends, your new house, this is going to be amazing for you..." he paused with his sentence, I knew he was getting upset too.

"Boo, your mum would be so proud of you. You know that don't you?" He uttered, I looked up at this point while slipping my grip from him.

"I know, but dad... are you proud of me?" I questioned. He couldn't respond as the tears were forming in his eyes. He nodded and smiled. I hugged a little tighter, so did he and then we both let go and said our little phrase when things were getting too much for us both.

"Bacon, chocolate and loads of milk" we said in harmony, we both laughed while tears were still streaming from our eyes.

"Right, drink your drink and sort all your stuff out and meet us downstairs, we have a surprise for you" he mentioned, I smiled and nodded as he strolled out of the room.

I took a sip of my drink and realised how scolding hot it was. I took this as a chance to jump in the shower and make myself feel fresh. 10 minutes in and out. I sat in bed and began to drink my drink, dried my hair, added a few curls to my mousy brown hair and some natural makeup and got dressed into my leggings, grey essentials hoodie, black leather jacket, white nike socks and brown Uggs.

I grabbed my packed suitcase and bag and lugged them downstairs. My dad sitting there with the girls making a mess as per usual and Bradley on his phone with his feet up on the counter, and Carly applying lipstick in one of the thousands of mirrors that had been placed in my house since she moved in.

My dad saw me walk in and he perked up straight away applying all his attention on me.

"Boo, your up and ready, oh my girl is all grown up" he exclaimed as a smiled slightly. Bradley rolled his eyes as he hates when people exclaim that we have grown up cause we are doing something different.

"Right come here, get your present" my dad vocalised as I saw Carly roll his eyes in the mirror. He passed me a large box with my mums favourite colour purple ribbon tied over it. I began to carefully pull it off and I took the lid off. I revealed an apple sign, with a Mac book print.

"Dad a Mac book? you didn't have to, my laptop is just fine." I pronounce, not being ungrateful but my dad is a giver, and I couldn't understand him spending this much money on me when he has to pay for the rest of the family.

"Its from us all, for you to do your writing while you are away" he said, smiling intently to me.

"Thanks guys, I really appreciate it" I thanked as I opened it up and was looking at it. Bradley then passed me a small bag.

"This is from me, seen as I think your dad forgot you might need something to protect it" He smiled. So he does care. I opened it up to reveal a purple bag and case for it.

"Awe thanks Brad, its perfect!" I exclaimed, placing it in the case and slipping it into the bag.

"As much as I would like to stay, I really need to be setting off for the airport, you ready dad?" I asked, my dad nodded. I hugged the girls with their little arms and small, happy grins. Then I moved to Carly, a cold hug but seemed some sort of a genuine one, then to Bradley, he pulled me closer and whispered in my ear.

"Please take me with you, I can't stand to only be in a house where your dad is the only one with common sense" I giggled lightly and hugged him tighter. I stood away and looked at the house that used to be so delicate, but now looking so modernised.

We all walked to the door and they all waved, well Carly smiled and walked off. I put my seat belt in and went on my way to get Constance.

Oh, just wait until you meet Constance.
