Chapter 5

It was finally friday night. I was heading to the party with Riley

I was looking really pretty, it was my first real impression with everyone, so I wanted to look nice. I put on some pink lipgloss and got out of the car with Riley.

"Ready to find out how the parties are around here??" She said looking at the lights coming out of the house.

"Yeah, I think so" I said as we entered the house.

The party was full of people, I wanted to have some fun since I hadn't in a long time. The parties in New York were different, they were more... exclusive.
But I had a feeling this was going to be a great night.

Riley and I were talking when suddenly Riley started to stare at something behind me, I looked to whatever she was looking at (just for curiosity) and OH MY GOD two boys were coming right at us.

"Who are they????" I said
"Boys from school, I think they are a year older than us" Riley replied to me.

"Hey, I think I've seen you at school but I'm not sure" he said, he was too handsome. He was tall, with a lot of freckles, his eyes dark green and oooh that dark hair.

"Yes! I just moved from New York, I'm Blake" I said staring at him.

"Hey Blake, you look really nice. I'm Jake btw" he said staring at me.

"God, I love this song" I grabbed Jake's hand and walked over to the dance floor.

The song ended and Jake started to talk to me.

"I loved dancing with you" Jake said as he started to get close to me.

"Thanks, you don't dance that bad" I said with a little laugh.

"Ohh stop, I dance amazing" he said staring into my eyes. "When did you move here?"

"Sunday we arrived"

"And how was your first week of school?"

"Fine, but I'm worried because I'm behind on assignments " I said worried.

"Well, maybe we can meet up next week and I can help you in whatever you need" he started to get closer to me.

"That will be nice Jake" I said.

I could really feel his breath and he could feel mine.
He leaned closer to me and he kissed me. His lips were amazing
All of the sudden no one was there, the song fainted and there we were just us kissing.
Wow, I hadn't had that feeling in a long time.

We stopped kissing, we were out of breath. He was going to say something and all of the sudden someone screamed. We turned to see what that scream was. But everyone was still dancing.
It was as if no one had heard it.

Jake and I went back to Riley and the other guy, I think his name was Mason as Riley had mentioned him one time in school.

"Did you guys hear the scream?" Jason asked.

"Yes, but we seem to be the only ones" Riley said as we stared at some people.

I got a notification from my mom
-Blake, it's getting late.
-Yes mom, omw.

"Well, Riley, I think it is time for us to go" I said to her.

I went to Jake and gave him a goodbye kiss.
"So Jake, I would really like that help next week" I whispered to him in the ear.

"Perfect, I'll text you" he whispered to my ear. "So it's a date"

"A date it is!!" I said excited grabbing Riley's hand and going to the car.

The ride home Riley and I couldn't stop talking about the party, about Mason and Jake.
I said bye to Riley and went to bed.

The next morning my mom wake me
"Blake, good morning. It's time to wake up, it's almost 12am!!!"
"Mooom, I want to sleep" I said with my eyes closed.
"We are going for lunch at Riley's house, her mom insisted to have lunch to get to know us better!!" My mom said excited. "Shower and get ready"

I reached out to my phone when I saw a message.
-hey Blake, yesterday was amazing. Oh it's Jake.

My heart started pounding.
-hey Jake, yea it was, it was really fun meeting you.
-About our date, are you free on Friday??
-Yes!! I'll have to ask my parents.
-Where do you want to go??
-Well, I'm new here so surprise me.
-You'll be very surprised
-hahahah ok!! See you Monday at school.
-See you beautiful.

Beautiful?? He called me beautiful!!!

I was running late to Riley's house, so my parents had to go ahead.

As I walked to Riley's house I heard a voice.

"Blake, wait up" Ryder shouted at me.
"Oh, hey Ryder" I almost forgot about him, since I was thinking of Jake.
"So, how was the party, I saw you had a lot of fun" he said with an angry face
"Um yes, it was amazing. Thanks for inviting us" I said nervously.
"I saw you meet my friend Jake" it was like if he was jealous.
"Yes, he is really nice"
"Well, we'll see about that" he started to walk away "See you Monday"

I rang the doorbell and Riley opened
"Hey, we were waiting for you, you didn't finish to tell me about what Jake and you talked about yesterday" she said smiling at me.

"Riley, I have to talk to you" I said nervously.
