When I woke up, nightmare free I might add, Casey was already gone. I sighed and looked at the clock. 9:22. Well, I was hoping to sleep towards noon... Crap.

I dragged myself out of bed, pulled my nasty hair into a loose ponytail and started trudging downstairs, rubbing sleep out of my eyes. On the last step, however, I oh so gracefully tripped, and fell flat on my face onto the marble floor. Needless to say, it hurt like hell.

"HOLY- OW." I moaned, just laying on the floor. I heard some chuckling as I was helped up. Ash was standing there, snickering.

"Shut up." I growled. Ash just started laughing even more.

"I'm sorry, but that was hilarious! No one is THAT uncoordinated!" She grinned, walking with me to the kitchen.

"Yeah, well you met the most uncoordinated person on the planet." I rolled my eyes, looking around for food. Hyde was already there, wolfing down five pancakes, no pun intended. I walked over and grabbed a granola bar from the counter.

Just then, the other girls walked in. Lilly was looking around, yawning. McKaylia just smiled brightly.

"Good morning!" She chirped cheerfully. Ash groaned.

"How can you be SUCH a morning person?" she said, shaking her head. I yawned once more and cast my gaze over everyone in the kitchen. Then something clicked in my head.

"Where's Casey? He was with me last night-" I shut my mouth, knowing they assumed the worse already. All four of their heads shot up, eyebrows raised.

"WHAT we're you two doing?" Ash inquired. I glared.

"Nothing." I retorted. "I just talked to him right before I knocked out."

Lilly shrugged.

"I think he was in the training room. I heard stuff being thrown around when I passed." McKaylia stated through a mouthful of Cap'n Crunch. I groaned internally. No way in hell was I going in there. There's a chance that the little brain cells I have left would be knocked out.

CASEY'S POV

Two... Three... Four... I huffed as I drove my fist into the punching bag, which now looked like it's been run over by a truck. Six... Seven... Eight... Again and again, my fist drilled into the victim of my anger and frustration.

Images flashed through my head as I tried to clear my head. Yeah, not working well. What was Jeremy up to? Nine...

Even when we were little, he was kind and compassionate. I was always the hothead of the family, I guess I still am. But now, Jeremy has changed... Apparently.

Ten...

I just don't get it. Up until he left, he always was a mush. He was tough, but on the inside, he had a good heart. Sure, he got into his share of fights. But all in all, he was a good guy... Even though he talked about how the Kraulis isn't as bad as we made them out to be... Now he's the freaking leader and I have not one clue how to stop him, unless I can get Dahlia to break us through the wards of the castle I THINK he's at, and overpower him.

Dahlia... Eleven...

That girl. She infuriates me. She's so stubborn, hard headed, and just as short tempered as me.

"But you think she's gorgeous." Some stupid voice in  the back of my head sung.

So what? I doesn't mean I feel anything.

But you do. You think she's amazing, no matter what you say.

Whatever, you stupid voice. I just had to make sure she was alright when she went to sleep. It didn't mean anything. I left before she woke up...

You do care.

No, I don't. She's an asset.

A hot asset.

Shut up!

Never.

Oh God. I groaned. I'm having a fight with myself. I do NOT like where this is going...

I shook my head, trying to clear my head of all thoughts about that blue eyed girl.

Twelve... I threw one last punch right as I heard the door slamming. Sweat beaded my forehead as I looked up to see Dahlia standing there in her nightgown and hair pulled up into a messy ponytail. God, she really was beautiful.

Told you.

Why don't you screw off?

Hah! Good luck getting rid of me, buddy boy.

Bite me.

I groaned once more. I'm going crazy.

Yes, yes you are.

"AGH!" I screamed, pounding both my fists in the punching bag. Dahlia jumped back.

"Someone has got anger issues." She muttered. I snorted.

"What do you want, Dahlia?" I asked, rather rudely. She glared at me, her eyes flashing with defiance.

"I was just wondering what you were doing." She retorted. "And I was hoping you could teach me how to fight." I looked at her incredulously.

"You're kidding right?" I blinked. She shook her head. I know I told her she had to learn to defend herself, but not actually fist fight. But she was completely serious.

I did the only thing I thought of. I laughed my butt off.

"That's not funny!" She said indignantly, color rising to her cheeks. She then stomped over to me, who was doubled over from laughing, and did something unexpected.

She slapped the crap out of me.

While it didn't hurt, it did shock me into sudden soberness. I looked up and held my cheek.

"What the heck was that for?!" I shouted.

"For being a stuck up jerk!" She screamed right back. By now the others have poured in, watching our little stand off.

"Oh, so that gives you some automatic reason to slap me?!" I growled, straightening up. I was really getting annoyed.

"Yes! Hyde told me he was going to teach me how to fight, and if you BOTH don't, I'll just let him teach me!" She babbled, pointing to that stinky werewolf boy, who looked slightly smug at the fact that I managed to piss Dahlia off this early in the morning.

"I am NOT going to let that mutt teach you how to fight! I'm going to teach you how to fight!" I said with a tone of finality, which would scare even Ash. However, this girl is hardheaded and always seemed to want the last word.

"Why, out of ALL the people who could've kidnapped me, did it have to be some stuck up vampire who think's too highly of himself and needs a kick in the balls to bring him back down?! Yeah, just my luck that I get the crappiest one, huh?!" She practically screamed the words at me, and each one felt like a dagger to my heart.

"UGH!" With one last final scream of frustration, she flew out the room and out the door, slamming the huge door behind her. Everyone stayed quiet.

"Dang." Hyde muttered. I turned away from them, shaking my head. She sure knows how to make a heartless monster feel bad.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Phew! Finally; I know this was sorta a filler chapter! but I've been really busy. But, now you know, Jeremy wasn't soooo bad. Oh, what does he have in store? ;]

Anyway, I won't be updating that much, I still have exams and softball practice, and hopefully tryouts for a musical. yeah. xD

Bye! <3 Love to all!
