Eclipse P.O.V.
We are all quick to get into our places and prepped for take off. Once in the air, Solar set the ship into autopilot. Wavelength left his station and refused to talk. Harmony went to follow him but paused. Instead she went to her own room.
"Those two found something." Flare watched them leave.
"It has to do with that computer doesn't it? Wavelength looked freaked out." Solar frowned. "And he loves code as well."
"What if it wasn't code?" Flare looked to Siege.
"What do you mean?" Our eldest looked to him.
"The computer and camera were made by two different bots. One of the bots has to do with the pirates. They said point blank that we, or specifically Solar, stole something from them. The camera looked way to advanced for them. Meaning the pirates are coming and going. The camera bot has been here the entire time." Flare explained.
"Yes, I think we're all connected that. But that means the camera might not have been for us in the first place." Solar hummed.
"Quite possibly. If pirates are coming and going to a planet THIS far from anything cybertronian, there's a reason. The camera bot might have felt threatened." I muse. It made sense.
"But that means by apparently stealing something from the pirates and coming here, we have two different threats from two different sides." Siege growled.
"Great...." Flare sighed, letting his wings drop.
"Two threats isn't a good thing. I think it's time to sideline Mr. Thundercracker's safes. We have an energon supply meaning we need to hunt for that relic again. We'll sift through all the records on this ship. Seekers will be going on patrols every three to four hours during the day. I'll crack down on public history records in Cybertron. Harmony and Wavelength will help." Solar frowned.
"Eclipse, I need you to catalog everything from our patrols, and everything they find." Siege ordered.
"On it." I nod.
"Flare, I need you to train with Solar and Wavelength. I'll help when I can."
"I can do that!" Flare grinned.
"So we went from all hands on deck, paranoia, and now war procedures in what? Two weeks?" Solar sighed.
"Yep. It sounds about right." I hum. "I'm- gonna go bring Wavelength energon. Can someone get Harmony?"
"I will." Flare offered.
"Then we'll start the nose drive." Solar turned back to his control booth.
I stop by the cafeteria before going to Wavelengths room.
"Wavelength? I have energon." I knock with my knuckle.
"Come in......"
I open his door and find him hunched over on his desk. The flash drive was in his window sill.
"Here." I set down the cube next to him. "What wrong?"
I keep my voice gentle as I open his window blinds.
"Yeah..." He took a deep breath. His visor was dim. The silver glass wasn't glowing.
I pause to look at his optics. That beautiful blue shouldn't look so distressed...
"Wavelength. You saw something and it scared you. What was it?" I begged slightly.
His optics flicked over to me.
"It- the code."
"Wasn't code. That much we figured out. What was it?" I hesitatingly placed a servo on his shoulder.
"I don't want to say...."
"Wavelength. You might need to. I don't want to push but our situation just got so much worse." I was honest with him. I could lie with him around.
He leaned back into his chair and sighed again.
"It- it wasn't computer code. It was- there was an sos code mixed in. It kept repeating."
"An sos code?" That threw me off.
"That computer was shifted through a bots dissected processor." Wavelength choked.
My spark stops for a moment. It wasn't code- it wasn't code- We were looking into a bots broken into brain module. A bot was trying to cry for help.... I felt sick. It was no wonder Wavelength panicked to way he did.... How did such a happy island turn into such a dark and twisted place?
"Where do you think the bot is....?" I almost scared of what the answer would be.
"I don't know... but they weren't anywhere near that camp."
I sigh myself. "The pirates are data mining bots now..."
"Yeah..." Wavelength stood up.
"What are you going to do with the hard drive?"
"Study the sos. Hopefully we can find them."
"Siege and Solar will need to know."
"I know..."
"Wavelength, before all of this, you said you took something from Magness. May I ask what that was?" I stand up and take his servo with a gentle squeeze.
"Why ask?" He gave me a puzzled look.
"Magness is known for being calculated with what he owns. What if what you stole could help us?"
He looked over to his closet.
"Wavelength?"
"Just- it would help us yes.... But- um."
"Wavelength what did you steal?" I was getting worried now.
"You trust me?"
"I always have."
He squeezes my servo back before letting go and typing in a code. Why did his closet have a code? He paused before asking me to close the blinds again while he locked the door. As I do so I kept wondering what he stole.
"Keep this between us for now?"
"The theft part?" I clarify.
"Yep." He offered a servo and I took it.
He guided me over and I freeze. My processor spins for a moment and I fall onto his berth.
"Wavelength-"
"Look I know! This could technically be a felony..."
"Wavelength-"
"But we're looking for a relic that could cure anything! Relics respond to relics!"
"Wavelength-!"
"Eclipse please!"
"Wavelength that's the FORGE OF SOLAS PRIME?!
