ᴋʏ'ꜱ ᴡᴏʀᴋ"C'mon guys, one more time, okay? Same energy as if you're on stage performing for ARMYs!"Hoseok cheered, trying to lift the mood up as the other members breathed heavily after practicing for about an hour and a half.
Yoongi took a sharp breath in, coughing a little as he tried regaining his oxygen, taking a few steps backward, away from the group's ending pose. Namjoon cocked his head in worry, the overwhelming urge to help Yoongi and guide him through proper breathing routines was strong, but he knew the others wouldn't let him. Despite all seven being so connected and close, there was a certain rule that all of them hated. Although there was no camera in sight, Namjoon wasn't going to ruin it for himself and Yoongi, knowing there has to be some hidden that the staff placed to make sure they weren't fooling around.
"Give them a few minutes, hyung. Let them rest for a moment." Namjoon nodded to the group, smiling internally when the rest seemed to sigh in relief and drop themselves to the floor. Yoongi was the first to do this, his body giving out on him as he lay on the cold ground, letting his eyes close. The lead dancer nodded to him, seemingly agreeing and glancing over at one of the walls, as if he knew there was a camera there.
"You okay, baby..?" Namjoon whispered when he walked over to the shorter male, deathly worried as he knew Yoongi wasn't ever like this, even when the group was pushed to work even harder. The lead rapper had no trouble getting past all the hard pressure they all had but how come he's on the ground now? After just an hour and a half? Is his body fed up with this routine?
"Don't worry about me..check on the others.." Yoongi mumbled weakly, taking a deep breath in and letting his hands rest at his side now, his face looking like he was in pain. NJ shifted even closer, refusing to leave him in a state like this.
The elder rapper forced a smile, opening his eyes and reaching out for Namjoon's hand, his smile becoming genuine when the younger took it."But you matter the most to me." Namjoon smiled, rubbing a finger over his hand as he tried to comfort the elder.
"I love you, Kim." Yoongi mumbled once more, his breathing becoming more and more steady with each second that Namjoon was still by his side, always comforting him whenever he needed it.
"Do you?" The blush on Namjoon's face was a sight Yoongi still couldn't get used to. The way the younger gets flustered so quickly easily catches the elder off his guard, making him feel like he had total dominance over Namjoon.
"Don't believe me yet?" While frowning, he managed to sit up a bit, groaning when he felt his left shoulder slightly ache, a pain he's always felt when dancing and practicing. He pulled his hand away from Namjoon's ever so gently before placing it on his shoulder, beginning a slow rubbing motion on it, relief entering his body when he felt the pain calm down. NJ watched worriedly again, hating when the elder's shoulder began to act up in the worse times. At some point, it was so bad they had to end practice early to send Yoongi home to rest. Namjoon absolutely hated that day and has since then been wishing for it to never happen again.
"Who said I didn't believe you?"
"Your eyes think so." Yoongi shrugged, removing his hand from his shoulder and averting his cat eyes onto Namjoon's eyes once more, noticing the same expression in them that still slightly doubted the elder. And that hurt Yoongi to his core. Why doesn't NJ believe and trust in him like he claimed he did?
"W-what? N-no.."
"You can tell the truth, Kim. I'm not mad." His eyes had a certain shine to them that made Namjoon curious to find out if the elder was upset. Yoongi looked away, biting his inner cheek as he did so, a sense of betrayal covering his mind. The younger noticed this, feeling even more guilty.
