"I'm shocked our parents agreed to let us do this," Steven said as he moved his boxes up the stairs to his room, Brandon did the same. Jace, however, scrolled on his phone watching tiktoks. "I mean, I knew my mom would let me." I shrugged and brought the last of my boxes to my room, which contained my PC. "Jace are you gonna move your things or?" Brandon asked as he set the last of his down, he put his hands on his hips staring at Jace. "Huh? Oh yeah sorry girly." Jace turned his phone off finally and rushed out the door to get his boxes.
We had all just moved to South Park, as teenagers usually it would be never done- yet our parents trusted us enough to all live together. Besides, we wanted to spread our wings a bit, and this was the perfect chance to do so. "What high school were we transferred to again?" Jace's voice was barely heard from outside, so I pulled out my phone to check the name of the school again. "It's South Park high. How original." I rolled my eyes with a smile, high schools usually had the same name as the town they were in. "What's the dress code?" Steven popped back downstairs, his feet quickly moving down the stairs. "Uh, I honestly don't know." I pulled up the website on my phone, trying to find the school rules book. "I'd just assume it's the same as every other school." Brandon looked over my shoulder, quickly reading the website with me.
"I'd just go with that and adjust as we learn the dress code, I heard it gets pretty cold here like Minnesota." I turned on some music to unpack to, I played the combined playlist we all made- something that touched all our music tastes well. "I can't wait to have our own decorated home!" I happily smiled as I began unboxing amazon packages, we had ordered some to be delivered here when we arrived. Luckily, it worked out perfectly. After about an hour of unboxing, listening to music, and all of us decorating our own rooms we exited them to check in with each other. "No, because tell me why I come out of my room and just see Jace's room pure pink help." Brandon asks with a small laugh, he leans slightly to see into Jace's room. "Okay it's not pure pink, It's just somewhat pink." Jace pleaded his case, crossing his arms loosely. "Jace, we get it- you're a twink." Steven snickered, glancing into Jace's room.
"Well, Payton's room is typical as well- all Gothic." Jace pointed at me, I gave a quirked eyebrow look. "Well, duh, I love black and red so." I laughed and leaned against my door frame. "Okay okay, let's just start furnishing the rest of the house- Payton when do we start the school?" Steven held his hands out as if to calm the situation, I racked my brain for a moment before finding the answer. "Today is Sunday, right? We start tomorrow then." I had forgotten what today was but remembered when we started, somehow I remembered that is. "Oh okay wow that is quick." Brandon stressed slightly, not expecting to go to school that quickly. "Alright, let's finish the house and then head out for dinner. It's only..." Steven glanced at his phone, "Two PM right now so we should be good around maybe Six." Steven finally looked back up at all of us and we all nodded in agreement.

"Never let us move into a big house again please." Jace complained slightly as we entered a food place near us, it had seemed pretty lively so we decided to go in and have some dinner there. "Well, I didn't mind it." Brandon shrugged and looked around the place, taking in the atmosphere. "Maybe If you weren't watching tiktok for so long you would've been done as soon as we were Jace." Steven rolled his eyes with a small smile as he nudged Jace, I smiled watching my friends interact. We all seemed so different yet we all fit well together. I mean, I am a short 5'3 gothic white washed Latina, Brandon is a 5'7 person of color who dressed sort of modern, Steven is a 5'11 British person who dresses in neutral colors, and Jace is a 6'3 white man who dresses in mostly light colors and twink-ish type clothes. "Welcome to Fancy KFC, I'm Kenny, how can I help you..." we all looked up to see a boy who seemed to be our age, he had blonde hair and blue eyes- if you looked close enough you could see the small gap in his front teeth. "We need a table please, for four people." Brandon spoke up first, smiling slightly at the boy. "Of course I can get that for you." Kenny stumbled out quickly, a bit flustered if you paid close enough attention- which I did.
