GameToons AU: Novisor's New Host (WIP)

A Ghostly Experience

The rest of the month went okay, if not a little...uneasy. Whenever the lights went off, Player would hear little whispers. Chants. They always said the same thing... "Novisor."

Veteran was the only one who knew what had happened to him. It wasn't like he could do much to help his friend, but he did find something: listen to Player when he rambled about his fears for the future. Veto wasn't one to feel too deep, but even he harbored some concern. The rest of Player's friends did too, though they attributed this to some unexplained phenomenon or something that happened in real life.

Finally, Captain announced that the group was going to possibly try out a new mod. They hadn't been doing this long, but it was surprisingly fun for Player. Besides, it took his mind off everything else... Captain put BDay in charge of the group, for some reason. But that didn't matter. Player, BDay, Dum, Gnome, Clogsworth, Stoner, and even Poopyfarts, were now gathered in the lobby.

"Alrighty everybody!" BDay announced. "We're uh, gonna start pretty soon here..." BDay was never the leader type. He was, however, not doing too bad of a job. "I don't quite remember what the mod we're playing is... but I'm sure it's gonna be fun!"

Stoner nodded. "Totally dude."

Dum, Player's older sister, noticed him twiddling his thumbs. She approached him and smiled. "Don't worry Player, nothing bad's gonna happen! You can trust me, okay?"

Player smiled weakly. Though he trusted Dum, he still wasn't sure...

"Everyone ready to start?" Clogsworth asked. The others murmured in approval.

The game started. Player was... the Impostor. Huh. That was rare. Cool, though. When he spawned into the Skeld's cafe, he instantly pulled out his tablet. No mod abilities were there. "That's...odd," he muttered.

"Come on Player!" Clogsworth interrupted his thoughts. "I think I got, uh, Med scan... oh yeah I do!"

"I'll watch ya..." Stoner followed Clogsworth before stopping and turning back. "You comin'?"

"...Yeah. Just gimme a second."

Stoner went on ahead without Player. Player stood there for what felt like a while, before finally heading to Medbay. Luckily, Clogsworth and Stoner were still in there. Stoner left, leaving Clogsworth fresh to kill. Player lunged with his knife and sent Clogsworth's upper half upward. "Yes!" he cheered to himself. Player then hopped in the vent to Security, got out, and checked his countdown watch. 35 seconds. He strutted into Electrical to secure an alibi, and there were Dum and Gnome.

"Player, there you are!! Where've you been?" Dum inquired.

"Oh, uh, nowhere."

If one of the girls left, this meant another kill for Player. Unfortunately, Stoner entered. Player was a little freaked, but he tried to remain calm. "Oh, Stoner, you're uh...here too."

"Don't worry bro, I just got the wires in here..."

Player sighed and started to leave. But then he heard something. "NOVISOR." The chants, again. But the lights were still on... he turned to the others, but realized they weren't moving. They appeared to be stuck in place. In...place? "What the heck is going on...?"

"Player, we can't move! It must be the Impostor!" Gnome shouted.

Player moved closer.

"WH- HOW ARE YOU MOVING?!"

"What? What do you mean?! I don't know what you're talking about!!"

"Dudes, I think something's up about Player..." Stoner calmly stated.
