Two months had passed by. It was September and strange incidents had started showing up at Hogwarts. Strange and dangerous.
For example, Filch's cat, Mrs. Norris, was found hanging by her tail on the torch light in one of the hallways.
Dead.
What was even stranger was the message daubed on the wall with the cat's blood.
CHAMBER OF SECRETS HAD BEEN OPENED. BEWARE, THE ENEMIES OF HEIR.
Harry and his friends were discovered at the site of the crime and they were accused of the murder. Although, they were not the killers actually. They were just there because the odd and scary whispers had led Harry to the place. And as always, his friends were following him.
Thankfully, there was no evidence found against Harry and his mates, so they were saved.
It was a Friday night. The curfew was lifted for students only for Friday and Saturday nights. They were allowed to roam wherever they wished to on these nights.
The Gryffindor second years had settled themselves by a campfire in the ground. It was a full moon night and the sky was as starry as it could be.
"Harry, truth or dare?"
"For the last time, Dean! I don't play this game!" Harry said.
"But the bottle points towards you!" Dean said.
"Well, spin it again then!"
"We've spun it three times and every time it has pointed towards you!" Seamus said.
"The bottle wants you to play!" Dean said.
"But-"
"Oh, come on, Harry! We'll give an easy one!" Ron said.
"Fine! Dare!" Harry said.
"Alright, I dare you too..." Dean thought for a while and then suddenly snapped, "...sing a song for Hermione!"
"You said you'd give me an easy one!" Harry argued.
"Is singing a song for me that hard, Harry?" Hermione said, who was sitting right next to Harry.
"Um..no.. that's not what I meant.." Harry said. "Fine, I'll do it! Pass me that guitar, Ron!"
Ron grabbed the guitar which was lying on the ground and passed it to Harry happily. He adjusted the guitar in his arms and cleared his throat.
"Alright, this one's for Hermione and Marcus-"
"You're supposed to sing for Hermione!"
Harry flashed a death stare at Ron, resulting in him shutting up.
"There's this song called 'If You Love Her'. It's a muggle song, but I am sure you guys are gonna like it!" Harry said.
With that, he started singing.
As he was singing, couples started dancing around the campfire. There was Dean and Parvati, Vivaan and Amy and Marcus and Hermione. Hermione's arms were wrapped around Marcus' neck as they slowly danced.
To Harry's surprise, Ron and Luna were dancing now too.
Hermione broke her eye contact with Marcus just to take a look at Harry. He was looking at her too. He always was. Hermione smiled over Marcus' shoulder. She loved to listen to Harry sing for her.
The song was over and everyone settled on the ground again.
As Hermione sat next to Harry, she gave him a smile that made Harry's stomach do a flip.
The game continued. As the bottle spinned, Harry noticed Marcus whispering something to Hermione. Hermione looked uncomfortable. After a few seconds, Marcus reached for a blanket and covered Hermione's bare thighs with it.
Hermione did not look very happy with that.
"This is so dumb, babe," she whispered. Harry could hear her.
"No, its not! I told you to heal those scars first. They make your legs look horrible!" Marcus whisper screamed.
Hermione sighed and looked at the ground. A cold breeze flew and the blanket came off. The arse reached for the blanket again and tried to cover his girlfriend's thighs, but this time someone stopped him.
Harry clasped Marcus' wrist tightly, stopping him. Marcus looked up to glare at him but Harry was not looking at him. Marcus struggled to escape his grip, amd this time, Harry snapped his neck to glare at him.
"She's better off without it," he said flatly.
Marcus was not in the mood to argue with him so he let go of the blanket. Hermione was trying to hide her smile but she couldn't.
Harry leaned in closer to Hermione and whispered, "I love your shorts. Pink is totally your color!"
This made Hermione smile more.
"Keep smiling! I can see your boyfriend's ass burning," Harry whispered. Hermione chuckled and hit his arm playfully.
"Oh, Harry! You're hilarious!" She said giggling.
"Let's get outta here, babe!" Marcus said, clearly annoyed. "I'm getting bored!"
"You go ahead, Marcus!" Hermione said. "I'm enjoying this."
Marcus was about to force her but then saw Harry glaring at him.
"C'mon man, let her stay! You hang out with her all the time!" Harry said.
"Fine!" Marcus said and started scampering away.
"What is he like in the bed?" Harry asked. This was supposed to be a joke but Hermione's face paled.
"That was a joke, Hermione," Harry reasured.
"I know!" Hermione sighed, looking at the ground.
"I hope he's not forcing you into anything," Harry said. Hermione looked up. Her face was still pale.
"I'm going to bed," she said. "See you later, Harry!"
"Good night!" Harry said. But it was too late. She had already started walking away.
Something was obviously wrong.
