Doctor? Who? Where?

* Location: Ponyville; Dr. Hooves' house. Sonic slouches in a machine, sipping on a milkshake. Dr. Hooves looks over the information coming from the machine. Sonic is visibly bored.*

Sonic: Doc, not to be rude, but it's already been 3 days since I asked for your help and we're not getting anywhere. How much longer do you think this is gonna take?

Dr. Hooves: Not... that... long... because!-I think I have all the information I need. Understanding this chaos energy, it's simply amazing! Now, you said you can time travel with this too?

Sonic: Doooooooc.

Dr. Hooves: Right, right. Well, I'll need to check over the crash site again. Mind carrying this absolutely humongous machine?

* Sonic gives a faint cringe as he places his drink down on a table. Location: Green hills; Tails' lab. Tails pushes himself around his lab on a swivel chair, using his tails to push off of objects and propel around the room. Tails types on a computer- exchanges wires- and tosses paper at a trash can, but misses. Tails pushes himself across the room with a little twirl but he stops dead center of the room when his eyes lock onto the little chaos drive of "warp energy".*

Tails: It's been 3 days now. I'm so close. This "warp drive"...

* Tails grabs the warp drive and places it in his backpack as he walks outside, looks up, and flies off toward Angel island. A few minutes later, Tails arrives on Angel island. A small camp has been set up by the resistance. Members of the resistance wave at Tails and Tails waves back. Tails makes it up the stairs to the Master emerald where Knuckles sits, arms crossed. Tails sits next to Knuckles.*

Tails: Hey, Knuckles.

Knuckles: Hey. You find something yet?

Tails: No.

Knuckles: ...Don't worry, you're the smartest guy I know. You'll find Sonic soon enough.

Tails: ...Thanks...

* Location: Eggmans lab. Eggman looks over a computer with the screen reflected in his glasses showing a Buzzer spying over Angel island. Eggman then walks over to a glass pane where he looks over a factory of robots, the finishing touches on dark silhouetted robots made.*

Dr. Eggman: So, that blue brat is gone. Hoho! Excellent. With these, I shall finally take over this land. Heheheho.

* Location: Outside of everfree forest. Sonic and Dr. Hooves finish setting up a vending machine sized paper graphing scanner. Dr. Hooves grabs some suction cups with curly wires connected and sticks them onto the debris of the robot. Rainbow dash comes swooping in and looks over this operation. Coming down for a landing, Rainbow speaks first.*

RD: Hey, doc. How much longer do you think this gonna take?

Dr. Hooves: Ah Rainbow, hello. Well, it took a while but I finally think I understand this chaos energy. It only took 2 days. Plus another day spent repurposing this machine. But anyway, Sonic should be back home soon enough if I'm uninterrupted.

Sonic: You really want me gone that bad? Wanna keep holding that "fastest medal"?

RD: Actually, I was asking if you were free. I still can't perfect my Lightspeed prism. I need your help.

Sonic: Break time! What do you say, doc?

Dr. Hooves: I'll stay here. All of this is too exciting to miss out on!

* Sonic and Rainbow look at each other in confusion and just shrug. Moments later, the two blues are feet away from the disgruntled robot. They both get down to ready themselves. Rainbow bends her forehooves back and to the side and spreads her wings. Sonic places his fists on the ground with one knee pulled up to his chest and the other leg spread far behind. Sonic closes his eyes as he breaths in. Rainbow opens her eyes and breaths out. At this, the two speed off with blue and rainbow trails respectively. The two slowly reach higher speeds until they're just about to go lightspeed. Sonic sees Rainbow struggling.*
