Prologue

Some say life is long. Others, that it's ephemeral. But the story I'm going to tell you goes beyond that concept that we know as life and death.

It can be said that and I quote, although it is very contradictory, that my life began after I died. And how did I get to that? Well... Let's start from the beginning.

It all started in 2014 in Beverly Hills. I was just a 12 year old girl. I lived with my parents and my older sister, Vagatha. We were a united and happy family. My sister and I were very close. Since we were little we used to play at being the best doctors in a prestigious hospital. She used to take me sometimes to the hospital where she worked. There were good days and busy days, but our love for medicine was relentless. Until the night of the accident arrived.

My sister died in an ambulance accident while trying to save the life of a patient. That completely destroyed me and my parents were never the same.

Years passed and I graduated high school and shortly after received the best news of my life. I had received a scholarship from the University of Genoa in Italy. Very excited, I said goodbye to my parents, without imagining that this would be the last time I would see them.

I started studying medicine at university and shortly after I met Giovanni. He was in two semesters more than mine, but that didn't stop us from falling in love and starting a relationship.

Giovanni was a very handsome man and above all very, very wealthy. He lived in a giant and very elegant mansion. He bought me many gifts and above all treated me like a princess, but I soon discovered the reason for his multimillion-dollar fortune.

He was part of the Italian mafia and he was soon planning to sell me to a prostitution ring. I tried to escape, but he immediately attacked me.

After much struggle, I managed to fire the gun he had, killing him instantly. Unfortunately for me, I didn't notice when his escorts entered. The only thing I could feel was a bullet in my head. And then... Everything went dark.
