Today, I tried to look nice, spent time on my hair,
An hour on makeup, taking extra care.
Picked clothes I thought were just right,
But the photo they took, a bit of a fright.Hate it now, feeling low,
More than before, sinking in woe.
Maybe a mistake with the makeup and hair,
Should've kept it simple, avoiding despair.Clothes I hoped would lift my mood,
But the photo. Is this how I've looked all along?
Embarrassed now, feeling wrong. Not just disliking how I seem,
But a constant struggle, like a bad dream.
Even with effort, never enough,
A tough journey, a road that's rough.
