Chapter -32
Author's POV
Approximately an hour ago at Yadav's residence, Bengaluru.
Raman was reading some book, sitting on his favourite rock chair, which his beloved granddaughter had gifted him a few years ago.
" Dada...dinner is ready!!" Sameer chirped in his usually enthusiastic voice.
He didn't respond but closed the book, placed it on the table and made his way towards the dining table.
" Saru..." he called for his wife who was in the kitchen, drinking water.
Sameer walked out of the kitchen first, followed by Sarojini. She was holding a glass of water in her hands.
A smile formed on his lips watching his wife.
" I feel quite tired today..." she announced, walking to the dining hall. Her voice was unusually low.
Raman's features contorted with a frown. Sameer also looked at Sarojini who was walking kinda slowly.
" Come here sit!" Raman got up from the seat as he saw her dropping the glass.
Sameer rushed towards the old woman and before anyone could hold her, she held her chest and moaned in pain. She was sweating profusely.
Raman was able to hold her limp body in his arms. Fear struck him like a thunder.
" I...I..." her eyes rolled back, she was trashing slightly.
Sameer called the ambulance and informed them about the condition. Raman was on the verge of crying. But he didn't let the tears slip away from his eyes. For he wanted to be strong for her.
" Saru...." he screamed, holding her motionless figure. The tears that he was strongly holding, rolled down his eyes.
Sarojini wasn't moving anymore.
Sameer consoled the old man but nothing was helping. He called Parul immediately but her phone was unreachable. After several trials, he called Aditi who received after a few rings and informed her about the condition.
As soon as Aditi received the news, her heart stopped beating for a brief second. She knew how much Parul loved them and how badly this news would affect her.
She called her several times and even asked Ved and Aryan to reach out to her. But it was of no use.
She didn't waste any time. She knew only Shiva could handle it and she called him.
While they were waiting for the ambulance, Sameer got a call from an unknown number and he thought it must be an ambulance driver and picked it up. When Shiva assured him about what's gonna happen next, he felt slightly relieved.
Just as Shiva assured, the ambulance arrived in no minutes and they reached the hospital in less time because of zero traffic.
They immediately took her to the operating theatre and assured them that she would be alright.
Sameer informed the same to Shiva when he called him again to check on Sarojini's condition.
Currently, she is in the operation theatre. Raman and Sameer were waiting praying silently, hoping she'd make it out alive.
