Aurelia: The Fanatical Story of A Girl

Chapter 1

Aurelia's POV

It was sunrise on the first day of the new year in Elflandia, and wow, that view from my bedroom was absolutely beautiful. I got up out of bed, threw on a nice outfit that Tama'irah gifted me, for my 11th birthday last year. And here in Elflandia; the year goes by quickly. There are only 140 days in a year, except for when it is Harvest; Harvest happens once every six hundred years. Harvest is a celebratory year for the elves, because they celebrate their freedom from the reign of King Rudicus and as his name suggests; he was a cruel and terrible mean king, he tried to kill his own wife; Tama'irah, because he believed that she was actually half-troll and half-pixie, and half-breeds are not accepted in Elflandia. Our capital city of Elvendale was the most prosperous part of Elflandia as a whole.

After I finished getting dressed; I headed to the foyer for breakfast. Elves were vegan, and they wouldn't eat anything dairy, meat, nor anything else that comes from any kind of animal (with the exception of Unicorn Milk). So my being human made them feel bad that I was human, and couldn't eat any of the nutrients that humans need to survive like Omega-3s, etc.., so a few years ago, during Harvest; Queen Tama'irah made a Royal decree that all elves, despite being vegan, were required to eat a special dish with some kind of meat that she cooked for me specifically, and those who didn't eat it were either banished or jailed.

But it wasn't until recently that I have decided to request a dish that is actually Vegan-friendly. I am going to request to speak with her. "It would be unwise to speak to Queen Tama'irah about changing the tradition, she is a very traditional elf." I heard someone say.

Queen Tama'irah was in the other room and heard exactly who had said that to Aurelia. "Captain, tell the elf guard at the door he is being demoted to observing the gatherers from his duty as a guard. My daughter will be heard and if she wants to make changes to the meals she and the rest of us elves will adhere to my daughter's changes. For I have not much longer as Queen of the elves. And soon; she will be your new Queen, today is her birthday and as a gift from me to her; I bestow upon her the official title of Crown Princess of Elflandia, she may have been adopted when her parents were killed during the Second Elven war, but now that she is my daughter as I've taken her under my care, she is going to be the next Queen of Elves, it doesn't matter if you believe a prophecy or not, she will be your new Queen when I am no longer able to rule, us elves live long lives, but every Elf ruler before me had reached a certain age and was unable to rule beyond that specific age, thus why she will be Queen in just a few years from now."
