It's been approximately 19 years since the outbreak began.
People are finally able to (for the most part) walk around almost where ever they like freely apart from a few confirmed infected zones.
even since the vaccine was created, less and less zombies have showed up in populated areas. almost none have shown up since October 7th and thats amazing since we havent had a break in almost 8 years since the bunker
However occasionally someone random whether they were just seen minutes ago at a party of last seen yesterday go infected, its not like they went exploring in the wrong places or the infected got to them because there is 0 signs of the infection being there prior.
its almost like they show up out of the blue to mess with us, we are getting so close to freedom and then the infection takes another giant leap forward. One we cant even see, and we are the ones punished bucause they got two steps ahead again.
