Eclipse P.O.V.
"Wavelength- of all the relics you took that one!" I sit there stunned. No wonder the trunk he had me help carry was so heavy.
"I didn't know what else to grab!" Wavelength sat next to me. "It was the strongest relic he had. I thought something that powerful might help us."
"It's dead. There's no power left in it." I drop my helm onto his shoulder.
"I know..." He fell so his back was on the berth.
"What was your plan?"
"To make him mad. But mostly to find the relic. I thought if we could power it somehow then the forge would lead us to relic."
"Well, Uncle Thundercracker's safes were a bust. Would the energon cave charge it?" I ask, still staring at the empty relic.
"I doubt it..."
"You really should tell the others about this..."
"Which part? The grande felony I committed, that you also committed, or the criminal lobotomy that no one would have known about?" Wavelength groaned.
"You'll have to tell them about the computer. I think Harmony managed to figure out what you saw..."
"She what?!" Wavelength immediately sat up.
"When the pirates walked in. Harmony hid behind the computer. I think she tried looking into it."
"She's 12?! Almost 13?! There should be no reason for her to see that!" He buried his face in his servos.
"Yeah, I know."
"How do you think Mr. Frost is fairing?" He shifted.
"I don't know. I don't want to think about Cybertron. Or at least I try not to."
"It's probably worse isn't it?"
"Think Mr. Ratchet is ok? He was trapped in the hospital when everything shut down." I recall Solar's terrified look when he learned that.
"I hope he is. I hope everyone is."
"Except Magness?" I joke.
"Magness can smelt in lava!" Wavelength laughed.
I laugh as well. "At least he can't find us. The Forge doesn't have a tracker right?"
"Nope! That's back on the moon we landed on before leaving our solar system.
I chuckle. "My brothers and I were talking with Solar. The pirates think Solar stole something. That or they think we all did."
"Stole something? Like what?"
"No clue." I shrug. "But Solar and Siege decided that it's time to drop my uncle's safes. With the camera and pirates, we have to refocus on the relic."
"How do we find the bot?"
"No idea. Talk to everyone tonight?" I offer my servo.
"Yeah." Wavelength stood and brushed his digits against the forge.
"I think I need a distraction though. If you need me I'll be in the gym."
"Weight lifting?" I playfully bump him.
"Well I have to lift this somehow!" He started smiling as his visor started glowing silver again.
"FLare is looking for Harmony. She seemed more focused than disturbed though."
"Focused?"
"Yeah."
"Well, Mr. Frost seemed like an odd parent. He would have taught her anything." Wavelength hummed curiously.
"Have fun training Officer! I've got logs to make."
"Well, I can't wait to read those masterpieces." Wavelength joked and we went our separate ways.
My wings fluttered behind me. If only I could do more to help him. What Wavelength told me was something he needed to share on his own terms. I open the door to the office I claimed for myself. My journey logs were already in here. I open the window curtain and sit down. Alright, let's go over the information.
We were looking for the Sphere of True Elixir. And there was no guarantee that it truly cured everything. Cybertron had fallen completely to a virus that, so far, had a 100% success rate. We were hoping Uncle Thundercracker's safes would have other information. Unfortunately, that didn't work as planned. As far as we were aware, only the pirates and whoever had the camera were trying to follow us. It's possible Magness might be trying to find us. Although with how messy the Cybertronain atmosphere was getting I honestly doubted that. I commed Solar to forward me the chapter of the relic along with everything they have and will find. I pulled open the holo-computer and entered the details of the relic, cross-referencing them with what maps the ship had logged. If it wasn't on or near Earth, I needed to charge us a straight path to its location. If it was, I needed to know where the relic might have survived best. However, this relic could smelt or freeze things at a whim. It could thrive anywhere. We didn't know how to operate the relic to begin with.
I fold my servos and rest my chin on them. The relic could be anywhere. Earth was just the planet we were hoping would stir us in the right direction. I could seen my green optics reflection on the holocomputer. If the pirates think we stole something from them then what were they looking for? My wings twitched. Something was starting to click into place.
:Wavelength I need to ask you something real quick?:
:Sure? Is everything ok?: He typed back.
:Yeah. It's half about the data mining. The pirates think we stole something and followed us here. However, they already have a camp here. They've had that camp for probably years at this point. Why would they leave the bot and the camp here on Earth?:
:I- Ok that's a fair point. But you're going somewhere?:
:What were they looking for. They're smugglers. They only stay were there's profit. Why are they are Earth?: I push the question. The only thing we stole, that they would know of, was the library book.
:Eclipse. What are you pushing?:
:You're the intelligence officer. I'm half curious if you already know.:
:Not the Forge. You just learned about- The library book.: It dawned on him.
:The library book. And the relic. It's the only thing I can think of.:
I could almost feel the cold chill Wavelength felt over the text.
:Get the crew together. Now.: Wavelength ended the conversation.
