Spring finally began and the snow was melting, giving way to green grass and colorful flowers. Since the Sanctuary chickens arrived that day at the Simmons farm, Arthur couldn't stop thinking about Frizzle and Molly, he had had a great time playing with them and he wanted to take Frizzle's consideration in going to visit them, but neither Napoleon or any other hen was going to let him leave there.

–But Napoleon...– complained Arthur, who was in the middle of an argument with Napoleon.

–But nothing! You're not leaving this farm, young man!– shouted Napoleon, who, even though he had seen that Rocky had become a better person, still saw him as a lost cause –And you will never see the loser of my son again!–

Arthur snorted, turned around and walked away from Napoleon –It's from a bad father to say those things about his own son...– Arthur murmured, he didn't think Rocky was a failure, he was the only rooster on the farm who actually missed and was worried about Rocky, the only hen that did so was Sandra, Rocky's mother, but she didn't seem that interested in him either.

That same afternoon, one of the farmers' children was eating yogurt at the entrance of the house, with the container in one of his hands and a spoon in the other. It was there that Arthur had a brilliant idea: He would escape from the farm to go to the Sanctuary where Rocky lived, and take the spoon just in case.

Arthur threw a stone at the scarecrow in the garden, knocking over his hat, calling the son's attention to get up, put his yogurt aside, and go put the hat back on the scarecrow. Arthur, moving quickly, grabbed the yogurt spoon and took it away to clean it, leaving no suspicion and finishing in time before the son returned for his yogurt, only to discover that his spoon was missing.

That night...

Arthur had left a letter warning that he would leave the farm and not to be followed, going to the forest near the chicken coop to go in search of the Sanctuary...but there was a small problem: Arthur didn't know where said place was, and also de was lost, because he had never in his life left the farm.

–Why are there no maps in the middle of the forest?– Arthur asked himself in a low voice, scared by the poor lighting of the place, fearing that some beast would go for him and turn into fried chicken.

Suddenly, he heard someone's voice from the left, so, still scared, he went to investigate. Peeking through some bushes, Arthur could see a kind of wooden board with four little wheels and a tire to make it float on the water. There were some wool socks, some caterpillars and their eggs, butterflies and a rooster with a sock on his head and an orange rag, that was, Nobby.

–Okay, guys, we can go to sleep, tomorrow we'll continue on our way...– Nobby said, putting the wool socks that Babs had made for him into a bed to lie down on.

Arthur was surprised to hear that –Could he help me?– Arthur asked himself in a low voice.

–Here you are, Arthur...– said a voice behind Arthur, scaring him, that someone was Napoleon –How dare you escape from the farm!?–

–I refuse to breathe the same air with a rooster like you!– Arthur complained.

–I'm older than you and you have to obey me, you damned son of a...!– just when Napoleon was going to finish, he and Arthur were surprised by Nobby, who came out of the bushes.

–Arthur! Here you are!– Nobby said, going to hug Arthur as if he had known him all his life, confusing him –Oh, I thought you were lost, this bitter old man hasn't done anything bad to you, has he?–
