** Rae's POV

"Claire-sama, hold on to my hands."

"Rae, is the blindfold really necessary?"

"Of course! Just endure it a bit, we're already at the location."

I helped Claire out of the carriage, protecting her head. Then I held her hands as I led her down the carriage. Ralaire bounced ahead of me, excitedly bouncing up and down.

"Where exactly are we going, Rae?"

"Just a little bit more, Claire-sama."

"Rae, your hands are so cold! Are you feeling alright?"

"I'm fine, don't worry about it."

To be honest, my heart has been racing wildly this whole time. Not because I'm holding the delicate hands of my beloved, but rather feeling extremely nervous if Claire's going to be ecstatic or not once she sees this. I stopped when we finally reached the destination.

"Alright, we're here."

"Can I remove the blindfold now?"

"..."

"Rae?"

I can't believe I'm this nervous. I know we have already confirmed our feelings. We almost planned our wedding too. Somehow, there's still some hesitation at the back of my heart if I am loved. Suddenly, Claire grabbed my hands. Despite being blindfolded, she still found her way to me.

"Rae, whatever it is you're thinking, I am not going anywhere."

"Claire-sama..."

"I can't believe Rae can get this nervous too. Your hands are practically sweating now."

"Hey!"

I pulled my hands away abruptly. Claire laughed at my embarrassing moment. However, her laugh made all my nervousness fade as if the dark clouds in my heart were blown away. Ralaire pushed me on the back, urging me to show Claire the surprise already.

"Hehe, even Ralaire is excited. Alright, I'll take off your blindfold now."

I moved behind her and undid her blindfold. She slowly opened her eyes, trying to regain her vision. Then her eyes widened at the sight.

"Rae... what is this?"

"This is our home now, Claire-sama."

"Our home? But, how? How were you able to acquire this house?"

Claire asked, still in shock at seeing the house. Ralaire bounced in front of us circling around the front yard.

"It's no big deal. I used some of the savings I had to purchase this house in the outskirts of Bauer. I couldn't allow Claire-sama to keep living like that in the dorms. I want you to live as comfortably as you can. So I found a house away from the chaos and renovated it for us to use."

I looked at her and grinned with confidence. However, her reaction was not what I was expecting. She looked at me with worry instead.

"But that means you used quite a lot of your money. You could've told me and I would've shared what I could. You already used so much of your savings during the Revolution. I would have shared this burden with you!"
