Aeros Ryerson- code name: ghost

"It's a no for you. You are not allowed to party tonight," Aeros said as his body leaned on the doorframe, towering over me. He stood there with his thick muscular arms crossed as his deep ocean eyes stared into mine. He's the recently-hired bodyguard recruited by my father, and one hunk of a man. Unfortunately, he is quite annoying and overly controlling. "Now, go back to your room or else..." His tone was stern and commanding, making it clear that he meant business.

"You don't own me." I scoffed, as I stared into his eyes challenging him.

"Don't be foolish, young lady. I may not own you, but it is my duty to protect you." His voice hardened, but his eyes held a softness that made me question his intentions.

"yes but not to be overbearing." My gaze hardened as I assessed the situation.

"I'm sorry if it seems that way, but protecting you is my top priority. I won't apologize for being too careful when it comes to ensuring your safety." His face was unreadable, but there was a subtle hint of frustration in his tone. I smirked knowing that I was getting under his skin.

"I'm an adult. I can make my own decisions. I don't need you to be constantly breathing down my back." I spoke curtly, dismissing his explanation. "Of course, you're 21 years old and you are an adult, and I respect that. However, as your bodyguard, I must intervene when I believe it's necessary for your well-being." He straightened up and crossed his muscular arms over his broad chest once more. "That is utter bullshit and you know it!" I narrowed my eyes at him. "Watch your language, young lady. I understand you're frustrated, but please remember that we are simply trying to keep you safe." His voice was firm but not unkind.

" I can curse all I want. I'm an Adult remember?" I quipped. "I remember. You may be an adult but you are acting like a spoiled child. As your bodyguard, it is my duty to set an example for you. Please try to exercise restraint when using such language." He glanced down at my hands, noting my clenched fists and tense posture, his glare hardened. "I want you gone" I muttered, watching his every move. "Please reconsider, young lady. Your safety is of the utmost importance to me." He reached out and placed a hand gently on my shoulder, his eyes searching my own for any sign of fear or uncertainty. I look at his hand on my shoulder and narrow my eyes. Aeros noticed my narrowed eyes and his grip on my shoulder tightens slightly, showing his concern for my wellbeing. "I apologize if my methods are unconventional, but it's better to be safe than sorry."

"Can you at least stop being so robotic and professional? You sound like you were programmed to speak that way, talk like a human". Aeros chuckled softly, the sound almost like wind rustling through leaves on a chilled autumn day. "Fine, I'll try to speak more casually. But remember, even when I'm not on duty, I am still your bodyguard." He gives me a small smile. "Yes and that means I can't have fun anymore" i groaned. "I didn't say you couldn't have fun. I just want to make sure you're aware of your surroundings and potential dangers." Aeros leans against the wall, crossing his arms over his chest as he watched me. "I'm going to that party!" I declared, turning towards the front door. As I turn to leave, Aeros steps in front of me, blocking my path to freedom. "I'm sorry, but I cannot allow that." His voice is stern, but there's a hint of resignation in his eyes. "Aeros..." I warned.

"I know you're upset, but my job is to protect you. Going to that party could put you in harm's way." Aeros sighs heavily, his shoulders slumping slightly. "Please understand. I'm just trying to do my job". I groaned and sighed in defeat, "Fine". I made my way over to the couch and sat down, crossing my legs as I scrolled through my phone. "Is there anything else I can do for you?" Aeros asks softly, his eyes searching mine for any sign of reassurance. "Make me a margarita? Since you're asking" I asked casually. "You don't have any margarita mix, but I can make you a strong gin and tonic. Would that do?" He raises an eyebrow in question and I made a disgusted face at him. "Oh, come on, it's not that bad."Aeros rolls his eyes playfully and steps past me into the kitchen. "Got any whiskey instead?" I perked up, setting my phone down. "Actually, I do." Aeros reappears a few moments later with a bottle of whiskey and two glasses. "I think you'll find this much more to your liking". I nod and took the glass in appreciation "Thank you". "You're welcome. Now, sit down and relax" he took a seat across from me, and sipped his own drink.
