After awhile, the arguing on the shore came to a climax. Soda pop gathered his bearings and decided to speak to one of the others. He approached the candle. "Hello, Candle, was it? What exactly are we competing for, again?" Soda pop asked, causing a slight laugh from Candle. "...you don't really belong here, do you?" She inquires gently, resulting in a flustered Soda Pop, and a shaky response."W-what makes you say that?-" "It's all on your face, Soda Pop. Science experiment gone wrong, was it? It's alright, whatever happened, I'm sure you'll find a way back." Candle continues to speak softly to the nervous Soda Pop.
"If we're on a show, wouldn't our dissapearance cause... drama?" Soda Pop asks gently. "You'll return home separately from your friends, but they'll both return in time." Was the response from Candle, which did not get a response that was... favorable. "... how will I know when they're back?" Soda Pop says gently, rubbing his arms. "How do you know when they're near normally?"
"I... because I know... I've known them since we were kids, Shell was my closest friend, sure Candy came later and tried to prevent us from being as close as we used to be... but what's the point on holding a grudge? I'm certainly not upset!" Soda Pop grumbles, irritated. "Soda Pop... you're trying to deflect your insecurities of drifting away from your best friend onto Candy... if you continue to do this, who knows how things will go." Candle says, like a comforting teacher, to the upset Soda Pop, offering a hand.
Soda Pop waves off her hand of assistance. "Soda Pop, I can't help you if-" Candle attempts, but Soda Pop turns away. "Well maybe I don't want your help. Everything is just so clear to you, of course it is, everything is so clear and whatever I, or anyone else does, is wrong and deserves nothing but to be trashed. I know." Soda Pop grumbles, remaining insistent on remaining strong.
"... maybe not now, maybe not later, but your actions will harm the people you care for... even if it's from a good source..." Candle utters, resulting in a grumble of annoyance from Soda Pop. "Of course, a dark prophesy." He stands up, and walks away from Candle.
"... Something is not right with those three..." Candle utters, curious but slightly worried for the three newcomers. "I'll... have to keep an eye on them..."
