Rohit's POV
The guilt feeling that had been swirling around Ro's stomach for the past few days had begun to go away whenever he saw Rits interact with his friends. Maybe it was the fact that she had effortlessly fit in the role of his girlfriend.

She complemented him in every possible way. He was confident and sarcastic while she was shy and sweet. He was calm and cool when she panicked and was restless. Made for each other. as his friends had claimed them to be.

But they weren't. They were just best friends who cared about each other a lot. Ro still remembered how shy Rits was when she came in the team and he was her first friend. Vi had non stop teased him about her and once she became close to him he had teased her too. But Ro had never thought of it like it. Until now.

He couldn't help but wonder how it would be if all this was actually real. The butterflies he had felt in his stomach whenever they held hands or whenever she smiled at him, Were they actually real? Did he really feel that? No no of course not. That was wht he told himself every night when she wrapped her arms around him in deep sleep or whenever they made eye contact in between a conversation between his friends.

The real day of execution of his plan would be today. They were going to attend Radha's engagement party. It was crazy how he had forgotten the real reason behind all the facade. Was it still the real reason for him?

Radha's fiance was crazy rich there would be an engagement party, Mehendi, Sangeet (which would only be between family) and the real wedding. All of this would take place in a different massive forts. There were even rumours that he had booked mini forts for many guests.

The girls were getting ready in a seperate room and boys in their personal rooms. Ro never understood why girls had to do everything together, that too in the span of knowing each other for so less time.

He got dressed up in a black suit and wore his best perfume. Once he was ready he went out of the room and went to the hallway waiting for Rits to come out.

He texted her but she didn't answer. Soon, the boys joined him in waiting. "Kya wait kar raha hai yaha par ja jake knock kar." (Why are you waiting here, go and knock)  Manish said.

Rohit went up and knocked. The door opened after a few minute. And there stood Ritika looking gorgeous and breathtaking in her lilac dress. Ro couldn't take his eyes away from her.

He was lost in her beauty when she said, "Chalein?" (Should we go?)

The fort was beautifully decorated and there were guests everywhere. Ro had spotted a few others from the list of his school friends and introduced them to Rits.

She spoke to every one with the same grace. Soon the main couple walked in. Radha who looked like she had fifteen lip fillers and her old fiance who somewhat looked still decent walked up to the 'Couple'.

Sayak introduced himself then excused himself. "God! Rohit you have changed so much" she said flirtatiously "Thank you. By the way this is my girlfriend Ritika." Ritika gave her a smile

"Oh" she said giving Rits a dirty look. A romantic song came up when Radha traced her fingers up and down Ro's hand, "Lets dance" she offered and Rits said, "Please, excuse me." and went towards the drink stall.

"Ritsy wait!" Rohit called as he snatched away his hand and followed her. He went to her but still she didn't look him in the eyes.

"Ritsy, May I have this dance?" He asked stretching his hand forward. Rits looked up at him surprised and took his hand.

He led her to the floor. The song 'Jab koi baat bigad Jaye' was playing and they started moving with the flow of the Rythm.

"So, it worked." she said. "What?"he asked still lost in her eyes. "Our plan"
"Oh".

"She seems uh nice" Rits forced a smile. "Oh please dont lie to me. I know how bitchy and slutty she is." Ro said disgusted. How dare she talk to Rits in that tone?

"Oh please dont speak like that. Maybe if she had said yes that day then I would not be here pretending to be your girlfriend, she would be your true girlfriend." She said her voice broke a little in the middle. Why am I feeling like this? Either I am a really good actor or this is really starting to get real. He thought

"No. In every universe I would be here with you, not her or anyone else." He said almost immediately. He was about to lean in when the music stopped and he was bought back to his senses.

What was he about to do? Was he about to kiss his best friend?
