Whenever the Gray family is back together and all stationed under one roof. They always wake up early on Sunday mornings and head over to the church. Never late and always on time.

Following that, they head over to whatever family is hosting lunch. Choosing to sit and chat about nonsense, Vesper really can't find enough words to describe how much she truly hates it.

The families all use this dinner as an opportunity to brag about who makes the most money. Or who has the best vacation house. Or the better car, etc.

Vesper can't stand to sit and watch as they share fake smiles, sipping on expensive bourbon for the men and wine for the woman. All while secretly resenting each other.

For whatever outing the family is attending, Vesper is forced to wear formal clothing. Her literal enemy and because she would never be caught in a dress. That only means she is forced to wear a tie, dress shirt, and dress pants that are always followed by some hideous shoes.

Vesper rolled the peas on her plate with the tip of her fork feeling extremely bored. She rolled her eyes, slumping in her chair as another round of loud, fake laughs rang out.

" Oh, Andrew, you are just the funniest" Barbra, or whatever her name was, had been spending the whole dinner subtly flirting with her father.

Vesper wasn't fazed as she watched the man, who had just recently returned home from his recent business trip out of state, laugh and smile charmingly as he sipped his drink.

" Yes, well, you know Andrew, always the jokester," Evelyn said, making Andrew smile as he placed his arm over his wife's chair. Who took it upon herself to smile at him, with no real emotion behind her eyes.

Vesper silently huffed, scratching at her neck where the tie was currently cutting all her circulation, finally having enough and freeing it from her neck.

Vesper watched silently as the group laughed again, finding her eyes wandering over to Russel and Judy Fabray. Who were unfortunately in attendance.

Vesper couldn't believe that here they were, laughing along to jokes, sipping their beloved alcoholic drinks like they hadn't just thrown out their pregnant daughter. Out into the cold dark streets, forced to fend for herself. When all she wanted was to be held and cared for by her parents.

The urge Vesper had to smack the spit out of Russel's mouth was growing by the second.
Especially as he laughed obnoxiously loud as he went on and on about some properties he was thinking of buying.

The chatter went quiet as Russel sipped his drink. " Oh, Russel, I've been meaning to tell you" Russel nodded as some random guy, Vesper didn't know the name of, called for his attention. All Vesper could say was that she didn't like his mustache.

" I heard what happened with your youngest daughter. All I have to say is, for whatever you need, our family is here" mustache man said, making Vesper's face visibly scrunch.

" Thank you, Clifford" Vesper silently scowled as Russel smiled sadly as if he was the one hurting.

" It has been hard but god will get us through it," Russell assured as Vesper barely held back her snort. This man had no shame.

" Yes, that type of behavior from a girl who used to be such a well-behaved girl just won't stand" some old man tutted.

" Quinn should be ashamed" Some other hag shook her head "A baby out of wedlock is a disgrace. She should know by now that a baby born this way would never be welcomed by the church"

Vesper was griping her fork so hard a little more force and it might have been enough to break it.

" And I couldn't agree more. That's why she's no longer living with us. If she's grown enough to commit adult acts then she's old enough to fend for herself" Russell grunted into his refilled drink, taking a large gulp out of it.
