Nejiko found herself in a bed, with chemical smells invading her nose, and an incessant beeping noise. There was a strange weight on her torso, which she wasn't lucid enough to identify. Nejiko tried cracking her eyes open, but was blinded by harsh lights, causing her to squeeze them closed again. "..ere mm i..." she mumbled.
Almost instantly, the weight shifted, and started to speak. "Nejiko? Can you hear me? It's me, Comdost!" The sound of Comdost's voice woke Nejiko up, and she tried to sit up, before wincing in pain. "Commy? Are you OK?" Nejiko uttered. She opened her eyes again, and this time the light had faded enough for her to be able to make out Comdost's blurry face.
"Nejiko..." Comdost's face was red and and tears were prickling the corners of her eyes, but she looked undoubtedly relieved. "I'll call some people, please don't move too much."
"What happened?" Nejiko inquired. "Are you OK?"
"It's all OK now, Nejiko." Comdost said. She relaxed visibly, her crimson eyes creasing as she smiled warmly. "It's over. You saved me, as well as all of the women and children that had been taken under the cruel rule of Senior Pasta Aurelianoritacito. You passed out right after fighting him." Nejiko's expression darkened at the mention of Aurelianoritacito, but Comdost gently holding her hand kept her calm. "How long have I been out?" Nejiko asked.
"Two weeks..." Comdost said quietly. The tears in her eyes threatened to spill over, and she tightened her grip on Nejiko's hand. "Please don't do something this reckless again, Nejiko. I was so scared that you wouldn't wake up..."
Despite the sting of pain it brought, Nejiko put around Comdost and pulled her closer. "Don't cry, Comdost. As long as you're safe, I don't regret a thing."
"Nejiko..." Comdost whispered. Despite her eyes not being fully recovered, the close proximity made Comdost's face crystal clear. Her smooth pale skin, her large eyes glistening with tears, her lips pressed together and faintly trembling. "Commy...."
Suddenly, the hospital doors burst open, with a crowd of people pouring into the room. "Nejiko!" called out Pepi. "We got a call from the Hospital!" Comdost quickly backed away from Nejiko, her face flushing red. "What were you doing just now, Comdost san?"

"Ah! I was checking Nejiko's pulse!"
"Really? wouldn't a nurse need to do that?"
"aha ha, isn't this a weird hospital?" Nejiko stammered. "The nurse was taking ages, so I asked Comdost if she could do it for me!" Nejiko laughed awkwardly.
"I suppose that's sensible," Pepi said with some apprehension.
The crowd with Pepi began to make themselves comfortable, giving Nejiko various gifts and lightening up the atmosphere in the room.
...
"I'm very sorry to interrupt this lovely reunion, but visitors hours are ending in 10 minutes. Could everyone pack up?" A nurse had announced, after an hour had passed. The group started to slowly disperse, Comdost being amongst the last, subtly brushing Nejiko's hand as she left. By the time the ten minutes had passed, everyone had left, but one, who had gone unnoticed by the nurses due to her small stature.
"Nejiworm? why are you still here?"
Nejiworm's expression was cold.
"You and that woman seem awfully cozy, don't you."
"It's none of your business, Nejiworm. Not anymore"
"I don't like her."
"You don't get a say in this, Nejiworm."
"How can you say that! That bitch is -"
-SLAP-
"Nejiworm." Nejiko's face was completely serious.
"I love Comdost."

"NO! YOU CAN'T!" Nejiworm screamed.
"I've always cared about you, Nejiworm. I still do. But you won't slander the girl I love."
Nejiworm's face contorted, and tears began to flow around her small body.
"Nejiko, I'm s-sorry.." Nejiworm whispered. "I want you to save me too.. I want you to tell me how much you love me..."
"I'm sorry nejiworm, but I can't do that for you." Nejiko sighed, and her eyes softened. "But somebody else can. We're over, but i know you'll find someone else to love. Can you do that for me?"
Nejiworm openly sobbed, as Nejiko softly patted her on the head. "I'm sorry... I've been so jealous.. I've lost sight of myself..."
The two stayed like that for a minute, Nejiko silently comforting Nejiworm. After she had left, nejiko leaned back into her bed, Appreciating how soft it was. Feeling content, she quickly fell into a dreamless sleep.
