"So Zoey, how long you've been here?" Jak asked as he handed me a beer.

"Thanks. Um well two years," I sipped my beer.

"Two years! Damn," Zeke stared at me in astonishment.

"We've been with Burnett for five months that's why," Jak said.

"So you just discovered what you guys are?" I asked.

"Yeah. But Jak over here is getting the hang of it faster than me," Zeke sighed.

"Jealous much brother?" Jak smirked.

"No."

I laughed and stood up. "I'm quite famished. Shall we go hunting?" I inquired.

"Humans?" Zeke asked.

"Of course. We're not dogs."

Jak smirked. "I'm in."

"Good." My smile vanished. I saw the werewolves walking to us. All the vampires stopped talking and stared at them.

"Why are you guys here?" I heard a vampire shout.

Trina, who was a fucking pain in my neck, glared at the vamp. "Why, we weren't invited?" She asked.

"No you weren't," I growled.

The werewolf that I saw earlier glared at me. He walked really close to me that he towered over me and his bare chest was touching mine. Did he own a shirt? "And I don't give two shits what you think."

I bared my fangs. "Back the fuck up. This is our spot."

He came closer. I stood my ground. His whole body was pressed against mine. "What are you going to do about it?"

"Demetrius, I think we should go," I saw a werewolf that had blue green eyes and brown hair. He was tall and he had a runners build. Sexy, if he wasn't dog.

"No we're staying," Demetri growled.

"Fine," I snapped.

Demetri realized I wasn't going to back down and he knew he wasn't either so he leaned closer to me. "I would back down if I was you, Kitten."

"My name is Zoey," I snapped.

"My bad," Demetri stepped closer, "It's just that you have fangs and no bite. Just like a kitten."

I shoved him back. "Your stink is fucking my senses."

Werewolves were relatively stronger than vampires and that hurt our egos so we were in high alert. I could hold my own with a few werewolves; even kill them, but I could never really outrun them. But when humans or anything ran, we were compelled to chase them. And when we were compelled to chase them, we would get them. Werewolf or not.

"Too bad," Demetri sat where I was sitting earlier.

I narrowed my eyes. "That's my seat."

"Oh well." Demetri shrugged. Ass.

I smirked and unfurled my wings. I had black wings that gleamed in the moonlight. Most vampires had wings since a lot had angel blood in them. Depends on if you were bitten or born. I was born so I got wings. I flew up to a tree and perched above Dem. I saw the werewolves getting comfortable around the vampires. Some vamps and weres were uneasy.

Jak and Zeke flew up to me. "Are we still going hunting?" Jak asked.

"And give Demetri the satisfaction of us leaving? I don't think so," I was hungry though. I haven't had time to feed at all. I fed several days ago and it was long overdue.
