Old Man Winter will grasp all he can hold
He freezes everything and makes the icicles hang
Most of nature goes to sleep in his seasonal cold
But some of nature came alive and sang
They sleep at night or during the day
But some things only occur after the sun sets in the west
The wolves and owls chase their prey away
Until they stop to rest
Campers will tell stories by the fire
And look at the stars while they lie
But when Old Man Winter's time expires
Baby Spring takes his place after standing by
He will grow up big and strong
But will become Old Man Winter after the year grows long
