Together Again
Long ago, you and I were together.
Now, you and I are apart.
I want to see you again, my love.
Will you be willing to accept me again?
I miss hugging and kissing you.
I long to see you happy with me.
Your voice lingers in my head.
Everything about you echoes in my mind.
Forgive me for breaking up with you.
I love you but how can I love you
if I can’t even completely love myself?
Now that I am, can I win you back?
As the rain drops from the sky,
it reminds me of how I hurt you.
It also breaks my heart for leaving you.
I wish for us to be together again.
I want you back in my life,
but do I deserve someone like you?
Could we write part two of our story?
If you’re willing to, I’ll be better this time.
It shattered me to know the truth.
You already breathed your last.
We can no longer be together again,
but maybe in the next life we’ll have a chance.
