Meera
The presentation went awesome, I knew it was going to be great. When I got off the stage my family stood there waiting for me. My mom had tears in her eyes with a proud glint while my brother and father's eyes shone with pride.
Chhoti practically threw herself in my arms the moment I walked to them. You were amazing Mera bachcha, Baba complemented while all others embraced me.
Thanks, baba but, it is not me who deserves all the praise. I did work hard for it but considering it was someone's first project, the effort was commendable. I said while eyeing my sister and took her in a hearty embrace.
We went home to our penthouse and I got to know that the Rathore family was coming to visit us tomorrow. We had to go to Ahmedabad, and Maa and Baba went directly from Rajpath Club.
Bhai, Chhoti, Me and Advait bhai my bodyguard were supposed to go by the evening.
We reached home with two cars full of security troops behind us and I went straight to my room. I was tired would be an understatement, I was deprived of good sleep.
I changed into my nightwear and dozed off the moment my head hit the pillow. It was just 8:30 in the evening when I fell asleep.
I woke up at 4:30 in the morning. Winter mornings are the best, misty mornings. I got ready as fast as I could and changed into a light kurta. Taking my ghunghroo from my closet I paced down to the garden.
Both Maa and Chhoti were already waiting for me. We did two Kathak routines simultaneously, our version of morning exercise. Later we ended up performing a guru vandana and went to get ready for our day.
Meera, tum taiyaar ho jao, I'll figure out the breakfast. Maa said and we dispersed. Kathak has always been a hobby of mine and my sister because of my mom. She's an excellent dancer.
Well, I have a lot of hobbies because I have grown up experimenting with everything. Baba was always inclined towards making me physically independent and that is why I learnt Karate and self-defence.
He taught me horse riding and duelling too. Well, it was bhai who taught me duelling because my grandfather believed that as royals we have to hold onto practices of our history and culture.
Dadu got me into reading and Dadi into cooking. I love my grandparents the most in the world. Practically because they were the ones I grew up with.
Both Baba and Maa used to be consumed by work and that is why I was raised by my elder brother and my grandparents.
Even all of us siblings are very close to each other. I got ready for my day taking a nice and warm bath.
Walking to my closet, I saw the outfit Chhoti had picked out for me. Simple and elegant. A maroon Ajrakh saree with a matching blouse and earrings.
I got ready with minimal to no jewellery and barely any makeup. Thickly kohl-rimmed eyes and a brown lip. Putting on the bindi and earrings I was done.
All of us met and greeted each other sitting at the breakfast table.
Meera, tu ready haina? You know there's no pressure, right? Bhai asked me.
I'm ready bhai don't worry besides do you think koi hai ho mujhe pressurise kar sake?
That's like my daughter, Baba chuckled proudly. Beta, you're our gem, don't worry if anything goes wrong tere Dadu baithe hain, my Dadu added.
Guys don't worry, Meera sab kuch handle kar legi, aakhir poti kiski hai? Dadi pulled her imaginary collar making us all laugh.
Kitni jaldi badi ho gayi bachcha tum, badi sirf umar mein nahi, audhe mein bhi.
