Constantine manor
For weeks Claude was restless the face of that girl and his torment playing on loop. He couldn't believe it had he lost his charms, but no way he was Claude Constantine maybe there was something wrong with her he kept on thinking.Liston looked on amused as Claude paced around holding his croquet mallet. "Maybe she's just not into you Claude?"
Claude stopped his swing abruptly scoffing. "Come on Liston everybody is into me." He ran a hand through his blonde hair flicking it ever so slightly. Liston would have said something yet he didn't letting his best friend go on his arrogant rant.
He couldn't resist though and added his input in. "All I'm saying is that you're engaged it's not fair to the lady." Liston took a swing watching as the ball rolled into the hole.
"But she's the worst Liston you don't even know." He rested a hand in his hip shaking his head. "Have you even talked to her?" The silence after that question was palpable. "Exactly."
"No, no, no I just know she's like all these other ladies after my family's name and nothing else." Liston quirked a brow chucking slightly. "Well at least your father has given you this long some people have to marry younger."
Claude brushed him off taking his own swing. "Whatever it's still not right I won't love her and I know that." Eventually the game ended and yet again the girl from the bar kept on popping up in his mind.
He decided to use his connections to his advantage and did a little bit of a background check on the girl having his people find out about her so he can place his meeting at the right time it was quite delusional but he genuinely thought it was love at first sight.
"You are utterly insane Claude." Liston looked over at Claude he was practically beaming holding the information up. "It's love Liston of course I'm going to be a little crazy." He stared at the name for what seemed like ages.
It was his first time actually loving and he would take it to the extreme always.
