Fiore gulped as Kristal announced Fiore's task. Kristal's challenge for this week had been similar to one she had in season 1, she would assign someone a task to do. And if they didn't do the task, it would be a point against their team.
"Fiore! Your task will be to give me your stuffed animal" Kristal announced.
Fiore froze, and she noticed a few of the other contestants' shocked reactions. Fiore knew they would be surprised to hear that the manipulative 8 year old still had a stuffed animal.
"i...uhm.." Fiore stuttered. She hated how that sounded.
She realized that she really probably did not have a choice. She was in a bad place with her team, since Ashley and Jake probably hated her. And it would only be a matter of time until they convinced James, Ally, and Hunter to vote for her as well.
She sighed and dropped her bookbag, taking out a stuffed animal and handing it to Kristal.
The stuffed animal was in the shape of a cat. It was tan and had a white stomach, brown eyes, and a yellow collar Fiore had put on it.
Fiore had somehow convinced her mother to buy it for her when she was 4, she wasn't sure why her mother had caved in and bought it, but she assumed her mother had bought it to get Fiore to stop asking for a toy and to have something to play with instead of begging to play with her parents.
It had become sort of Fiore's comfort object, one of the only things that could calm her down when she was panicking.
Kristal gave the child a smug grin and placed the stuffed animal in a crate as she spoke to another contestant for their task.
Alec was hardly even noticing anything going on around him. He was mad that Kristal would have the nerve to take away a child's stuffed animal and then be smug about it. Even if that child was a manipulative 8 year old Alec had sworn to hate.
Watching the scene play out really set off his fatherly instincts. He remembered when his ex-wife had done something similar, she had taken away their son's stuffed animal as a punishment.
Alec found his son crying that night and the only thing that could calm him down was Alec finding where his ex-wife had put the stuffed animal and giving it back to him.
He was snapped out of his thoughts when Kristal spoke. "Alright! With that, the (blank) and (blank) Teams win! I will see the (blank) Team at the elimination ceremony tonight!"
Alec watched everyone leave and Connor walked by him. "Hey, Alec, are you coming with us?" the older man asked him.
"Hmm? Oh yes, I'll catch up soon. I just need a moment" Alec replied.
Connor gave him a quick nod and walked to the exit to catch up with Riya.
Alec sat down a moment, just to give everyone time to leave and make sure no one would be in the room for what Alec was about to do.
He sat for about 10 minutes and then he decided he had waited long enough.
He walked over to the crates and started to dig through them. The first and second crate's were empty. But the third crate had what he was looking for.
Alec pulled a stuffed animal cat out of the crate and quietly shut the crate. Locking the hatch so it would look like nothing happened.
He glanced around again before leaving.
Fiore walked to the cabin behind her team, she stayed in the back, not wanting to talk to any of the extra's, and also slightly panicking.
She had no idea if Kristal intended to give her back her stuffed animal. Knowing Kristal, she probably didn't.
