Getting Serious

It was now Thursday morning. Naomi was just waking up and starting to get Seiko up as well. Naomi knew they needed to start getting serious with school because of all the days they have already missed from earlier incidents, they had even managed to only go to school on Monday this week. So, at the moment Naomi was running around-getting dressed and ready for school, while still trying to get Seiko up.

"Seiko!" Naomi whined, "Get up already!"

Felix walked over Naomi's feet and rubbed up against her legs. Naomi picked up the small cat and kissed his head tenderly. Naomi, then, smirked and walked over to her bed, Felix in hand. Naomi kneeled on the mattress and called Seiko's name. Seiko only groaned, so Naomi placed Felix on Seiko's head.

Felix meowed and started walking all over Seiko's head and body. Naomi giggled as she watched on. Seiko finally started lifting herself out of bed, causing Felix to jump off. Seiko sat up on the bed, rubbing her eyes and yawning. The sight was completely too adorable for Naomi to contain herself.

Naomi launched herself at Seiko, hugging Seiko's shoulders tightly and kissing her repeatedly.

"You're so cute!" Naomi squealed.

Seiko chuckled, blushing a bit at Naomi's sudden outburst.

"Okay," Seiko said, "I'll get ready now."

Naomi nodded and left the room, poking her head back into the room a moment later to say, "I'll be downstairs if you need me."

Seiko nodded and resumed her morning routine.

"We're so fucked!" Seiko yelled in frustration.

"Watch the language!" Ms. Yui yelled as she walked through the door.

Seiko grinned politely and said, "Sorry, Ms. Yui."

"Actually, can I see you two right now?" Ms. Yui asked.

"Uh, yeah, sure." Seiko replied.

Naomi and Seiko both walked up to Ms. Yui's desk like she had requested, waiting patiently as Ms. Yui shuffled papers around her workspace.

Ms. Yui looked up at the two girls, "I know you guys are going through a lot, but I would like to help you guys catch up. If you don't mind I'd like you two to stay after school for an hour each day for the next week starting on Monday."

Naomi and Seiko exchanged glances, Naomi answering her teacher, "I don't think that'll be a problem at all. And I'm sorry for any trouble we're causing you."

Ms. Yui smiled widely, "No need to apologize. I'm your teacher, I'm here to help my students."

Naomi and Seiko smiled back, then headed back to their seats after saying thank you. Naomi took her seat in front of Seiko and turned around, facing her smiley girlfriend.

"At least we're not completely screwed, thanks to Ms. Yui." Naomi said.

Seiko nodded, "I know, right. She just saved us a lifetime of studying."

"So..." Seiko started, "...When're you going to make a move on Ayumi?"

Yoshiki looked at Seiko incredulously, "What are you talking about? She doesn't even like me."

"That's a total lie because I remember seeing you two right after I woke up in the hospital that Christmas Day..." Seiko singsonged.

Yoshiki rolled his eyes, "That was nothing. She was hurting, seeing her best friends in the hospital, almost to the point of them being dead...can make you vulnerable. And that's exactly what she was : vulnerable. That's why she actually hugged me. She needed to feel some sort of comfort in that mess." He explained.

It's not like Yoshiki was going to tell Seiko what really happened outside of her hospital room.

"Whatever you say, Romeo..." Seiko breathed.

"I think you're acting more like the Romeo lately." Yoshiki answered.

"I know, right? Isn't it great?" Seiko said, "...Although I would like that we won't die like they did..."

Yoshiki nodded, "Yeah, that'd be horrible."

Seiko shoved Yoshiki playfully, "It would be, you jerk!"

Seiko smiled, "Hey Ayumi..."

"..."

"Hey Ayumi..."

"..."

"Ayumi, hey..."

"..."

"Hey Ayumi, Ayumi h-"

"What, what, what?!" Ayumi yelled.

"I said hey..." Seiko said.

"Can't you see I'm trying to get things done for our class?" Ayumi questioned, annoyed of her classmate.

"I don't care..." Seiko dragged out, "I have a question."

"What?" Ayumi answered, dropping all else.

Now that Seiko had all of Ayumi's attention, she answered, "What do you think of Yoshiki?"

"Huh?"

"I said..." Seiko repeated, "What do you think of Yoshiki...?"

"He's obnoxious." Ayumi answered shortly.

"Right." Seiko said as she rolled her eyes, "So seriously. What do you think of him."

"I just told you." Ayumi answered.

"But-"

"I've got to go, bye!" Ayumi yelled, running our of the classroom's door.

Four days later, Monday.

"Seiko..." Naomi whined.

Seiko responded with a low grunt.

"Seiko... Get up already..." Naomi pleaded.

Seiko huffed and lifted herself out of bed. She glared at Naomi, having her giggle. Naomi leaned over and kissed Seiko's cheek.

"Hurry, we have to get to school." Naomi ordered.

"We're ready to learn, Ms. Yui!" Seiko exclaimed loudly.

Ms. Yui chuckled and Naomi nudged Seiko in the ribs, telling her to quiet down. Naomi and Seiko sat in the first two seats in the classroom, right next to Ms. Yui's desk.

"What subject first?" Naomi asked.

"Math." Ms. Yui answered.

"I hate math..." Seiko grumbled under her breath.

Naomi whispered to Seiko, "Shut up, she's trying to help us."

Fillers, fillers, fillers. There's nothing much to write about. The book is coming to a close.

But have no fear as I have already started working on the next book for my lovely babies. There is going to be a second book for sure. We'll see how many chapters I'll spit out by then.
