It was an emotional day here in the court room. Notorious criminal, Eliza May Rose, was found guilty of all charges. While the families of those killed in the armed bank robbery earlier this year celebrated that their lost loved one had finally gotten justice, the defendant visibly broke down when the sentencing was announced.

To fully understand the gravity of the decision one must know a little of Eliza May Rose's history. Rose sufferers from Entartet's Disease, a fast moving degenerative disease that is often compared to Parkinson's. Discovered in 2032, it is brought on by blood infections and Rose is believed to have contracted it during her first stent in prison when she was just fifteen. Another criminal is thought to have stabbed with a sharpened, rusty, knife. Since then Rose has received injections every four years to delay the onset of cell degeneration.

His honor decided that the defendant would participate in the Time Rehabilitation Center. She will serve a minimum of five years with the Deepwick Police Department beginning in the year 2015. This sentence was cut down from ten years since Eliza May assisted the police in the capture of her former boyfriend, Brent Kauter. The treatment is not available in the year Rose has been sentenced to and many, including Police Captain Williams plan on filing suits of their own due to abuses of the court.

"The death penalty was outlawed in 2040," Captain Williams told one courtroom reporter, "this sentencing is the judge's way of ignoring that." Williams has worked closely with Eliza May over the last few years as she worked as an informant for the police.

"Eliza May doesn't deserve this. She's made mistakes in her life, but she's worked to correct them. Sending her to the past will kill her, Judge Grosebeck is making himself a murderer." Captain William and the twelfth precinct is investigating the case as a possible homicide.
