The next few days I saw nothing of Blake, I expect he thought I wasn’t coming back, how wrong was he! But in those two days something extraordinary happened...and it wasn’t good.

“Hey London?”

“Mm?”

“LONDON?”

“WHAT MORGAN?”

“QUICK! HELP! LOOK!”

“What is it?”

“JUST COME QUICK NOW YOU BUTT,”

So I dragged myself off my very comfortable bit of sofa to see what she was getting in a fluster about.

“AHHHHHHH!” She screamed, it was so ear piercing I realised it must be something big.

And it was.

I ran over to find Morgan literally crying and almost fainting and she was looking out the window. That was when I saw it. A man no older than 30 was on the floor, unconscious, with his leg away from his body. His leg had come off. I was gagging. There was blood everywhere and luckily he was facing the other way so we didn’t see the skin hanging down off his leg and his bone grinded down, sliced and cut.

“Morgan, look!”

“I CAN SEE IT DO SOMETHING!”

“WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO?”

“ANYTHING...BRIANNE?!”

“BRIANNE!”

“BRIANNE!”

“BRIANNE!”

We kept screaming her name taking it in turns to shout as loud as our voices would allow us too. I had no idea what we were expecting Brianne to do.

It all went so quickly after that, Brianne came to see what was going on and when she saw it, she fainted, so she was a load of good. Anyway it was pretty horrible, I’d never seen anything like it before it was what you would see in a movie, worse than that, it was real, it was actually happening. We moved Brianne onto the sofa and splashed water on her face to wake her up. She was very shaken up, so we told her to stay put. We had to face the outside all by ourselves. First we called the police, it was all a bit of a rush I kept getting the number wrong - yeah I know it was only 999 but I was so flustered I couldn’t type it properly.

“JUST TYPE IT; IT’S NOT THAT HARD IS IT?” Morgan shouted into my ear. “THERE IS A GUY WITH NO LEG OUT THERE NOW HURRY UP.”

“SO GO SEE HIM THEN,” I screamed.

“No, he’s...he’s got no leg, I need you there,”

“Well then,” I said holding the phone to my ear, “I better be quic- Oh hello yes, oh please I need police, ambulance, there is a guy on my drive with no leg...I have no idea how....I don’t know I just saw him there what do I do? Hurry please! Just outside of Harrison flats, in Brooklynn no-one else seems to have noticed and I don’t know what to do, hurry...” I knew I was going on a bit so Morgan grabbed the phone off me and said to them “I’m sorry she’s a bit shook up, yes Harrison flats...oh good, see you soon, thank you, bye,” Then she pressed the end call button and shouted at me.

“NOT SO HARD IT IS?”

By this point tears were streaming down my face smudging my make-up and making me look like a panda. I grabbed her hand and we went down to see him. We nearly fell down the stairs, our hands growing sweaty and we refused to let go of each other. It didn’t look so bad from the angle we were at as we stepped out of the door into the cold, but as we neared him my stomach churned and did flips and my heart was thumping against my chest.

But just standing there couldn’t help the poor guy and there was nothing that could be done other than go up to him. So we did.

I have never in my whole entire life seen anything, so disgusting, so sad. We walked towards him.

“Hello?” I swallowed. “A-are you okay?”

“He’s unconscious, he can’t fricking hear you,” Morgan said, trying to sound angry but instead just sounding scared.

“Sorryyyy,” I said sarcastically.

“Should be,”

“What do we do then?” I asked, calming down a bit and talking deep breaths.

“I don’t know, wait for the ambulance?”

I wanted to see the wound, but I couldn’t bring myself to step over the body and face it. Just then, as I was about to, the ring of sirens and three police cars and an ambulance came flying around the corner, pushing us to the side and taking over. They thanked us for helping and told us to return to the flat and that someone would come and question us about it soon. We were quite shook up, as I’ve probably said a lot but even more so when the ambulances came for some reason.

After we’d each had about 3 cups of coffee at once the police knocked on our door as asked us if we were feeling ok to be questioned- Brianne included. We said yes, as long as we weren’t going to see him again. No offence who-ever-you-are.

A black woman with wold afro black hair came in to question us, it was a wonder she could fit a hat on her head with all her hair! She was pretty all the same though. “What time was it when you saw him?”  She said through her nose, extremely annoying.

“Um, about an hour ago, so four,” I said, as confidently as possible.

“An hour ago? So what were you doing in the 20 minutes before you rang us?”

“Panicking,” I said straight away, “We were panicking, and Brianne fainted so we had to wake her up, and then we had to figure out what to do, which was to obviously call you guys,”

“I see, and who spotted him?”

“I did,” Said Morgan, “I was just looking out of the window and saw him, the shock of my life, so I called for London and then after she saw him we called for Brianne - who fainted as you know,”

“So she was a load of help,” I joked, but the police woman, Cassia her name was (said so on her badge) didn’t find it very amusing, she just raised her eyebrow

“Right,” she honked “Did you see anything else, at all?”

“No,” I shook my head, and so did Morgan.

“Actually I did,” Brianne piped up,, it was the first time she had actually spoken to Cassia. “As I was lying on the couch after being woken up, you two were going down the stairs I saw a figure running away  through the trees, it looked like a shadow  of a tree at first, but it turned out it was staring at him before running off, it’s probably no help because I don’t know whether it was make or female, or what it looked like or anything,”

“No, that’s very helpful, thank you so much for your tie London Morgana and Brianne, bye,”

And then she left, along with the ambulances and police cars and we were alone again.
