The next day at school was unlike any other. As soon as Liam and I stepped foot on campus, we could feel the atmosphere shift.

There was a buzz in the air, a ripple of excitement that seemed to follow us wherever we went. Everyone was whispering, their eyes darting between us with knowing smiles.

But it wasn't for any scandalous reason. No, it was because Liam and I, after months of speculation and wishful thinking from our friends, were finally together.

As we walked down the hallway, people we barely knew came up to us, their faces beaming with genuine happiness.

"Congratulations!" they said, patting Liam on the back or giving me a warm hug.

It was a strange feeling, being the center of attention, but not in a bad way.

"How did everyone know?" I whispered to Liam as we walked hand in hand.

I was genuinely puzzled. We had decided to keep our relationship a secret for a while, at least until we were sure about our feelings.

He looked at me, a hint of confusion in his eyes. "Don't you remember? You posted on your Instagram that we are officially together?" He reminded me.

"Oh yeah," I replied, scratching my head.

In my excitement last night, I had indeed shared a picture of us, with a caption that left nothing to the imagination. I had completely forgotten about it.

As we entered the classroom, it was clear that our classmates were just as thrilled about our relationship.

There were cheers and playful remarks, everyone 'shipping' us as the new power couple.

But not everyone was pleased. Mia, a girl who had always been a bit standoffish, seemed annoyed by the attention we were getting.

"Are you really together?" Chloe popped up beside me, her eyes wide with curiosity.

"Yeah, I'm curious too!" Olivia joined in, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

I simply nodded, a smile playing on my lips. Their reactions were priceless, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction.

As I sat down at my desk, Ava, my best friend since kindergarten, looked at me.

Her eyes were serious, a stark contrast to the excitement around us.

"Are you sure with your answer?" She asked me, her voice barely above a whisper.

I looked at her, surprised by her question.

But then I remembered Ava's cautious nature. She always thought things through, always weighed the pros and cons before making a decision.

"Yes, why wouldn't I be?" I replied, my voice firm.

I was sure about my feelings for Liam, and I wasn't going to let anyone doubt them. Not even Ava.
