There's a girl named Grace Middleton who is a party planner and a physiotherapist. She and a boy named Daniel Knight, who is a police officer, are orphans who grew up together in the same class and the same orphanage. Despite initial accusations, the doctor later confirms Grace is out of danger but weak. Back home, Grace is unconscious, on oxygen. Vortex, discussing the incident, hears a commotion in Grace's room. He finds her struggling without the oxygen mask, fixes it, and spends the night by her side. The next day, as Grace struggles with her dress, Vortex helps her, emphasizing there are things they can't do alone. As they share a moment, Granny interrupts, and Vortex goes downstairs.
Grace goes to the bathroom, and when she returns, she finds a threat written in lipstick on her dressing table mirror. Terrified, she screams "Vortex, Vortex" and starts running, but the vortex catches her, and she reveals everything while crying.
