It felt like a normal Saturday morning in September, but now I was sitting in the train on my way to meet up with one of my best friends, Tyler.
Tyler and I met 3 years ago when I was in Europe with my family during spring break. We both were there on a vacation and actually we became friends immediatly. Sadly he lives about a hundred miles away so we don't see each other very often. But today we finally planned to see each other again.
While I was sitting in the train I listened to some music until Tyler called me. "Hey, where are you?" he asked.
"I don't know, but I'm almost there, just ten more minutes I guess."
"Okay, see ya in ten."
"See ya."
I sighed.
"Liv, are you okay? Because you don't really sound like it."
"Yeah I'm fine, I just feel like something is about to happen, but I don't know what, I just feel it."
"You're almost here, so no need to worry."
I started smiling and wanted to say something, but at that moment I heard something strange, a high pitched sound like the train was about to stop right here, right now, in the middle of nowhere. It slowed down really fast and everyone was looking outside to find out what was happening."Liv, what is that sound?" I heard Tyler asking, but I didn't answer. Then the train stopped. Everyone kept quiet and no one knew what was going on. I tried to look outside but I couldn't see a thing because there was smoke everywhere, I think because we stopped so fast. "Liv? Liv! What is happening?"
"I don't know, the train just stopped."
"Are you okay?"
"I'm fine, I'll try to get out, maybe I can walk. I'm almost there so it doesn't matter."
"Okay, but be careful."
While he said that I opened some kind of window on the roof of the train and I climbed through it. Now I was standing on top of the train and I tried to get an overall view, but all I could see was smoke. With Tyler still on the phone I started to walk forward, to get out of the smoke. But then I heard a really strange noise, some kind of moan, but really deep. Then I heard more of it, all around me. So I started running to the front of the train. There was no more smoke and I saw nothing uncommon. I heard Tyler again. "Liv, can you just tell me what is going on?" "I-I-I can't." Then I turned around to see if there was anything, or at least someone. There was no one and the smoke had almost cleared, but what I could see was unbelievable.
