Chapter 39

"Listen, Arm, you've surely already analyzed everything regarding the new nuisance. Tell me, is there anything that shows his involvement in his father's business?" Kim asked as he started rubbing his eyes annoyed. Arm handed him the document containing all the relative information. Kim rapidly read through all the data but the more he read the more irritated he looked. As he reached the end, he stood up and threw the paper away.

"Nothing?! This is all you got!? Vegas's stupid son is dating the son of one of the main leaders of the southern clans and you only managed to provide his daily routine and how shitty his notes are!?" Kim shouted. He then realized that he was losing control, so he placed a hand on the desk as if he was trying to support himself, while he used the other one to move his hair away from his eyes.

"I sincerely hope you have a good explanation for this" Kim added, then as he turned to Arm, he saw the bodyguard trying his best to stay calm. Arm adjusted his glasses, he coughed and then raised his chin to have a more confident look.

"We suppose that Rain isn't involved in his father's business at all. It wouldn't be so unlikely, we have noticed a certain change of behavior in Type's activities in the past few years, the exact time when Rain could have started to join his father to learn how to lead the clan" Arm responded.

"Type is trying to look as clean and respectable as possible, but don't tell me that you buy that. We have been doing that for the past twenty years too. If Rain isn't involved at all, it either means that he's too stupid to handle it, or his family is very good at covering their traces" Kim intervened.

"You overestimate Type's threat, honey" Porchay remarked as he entered the room. Kim sighed, knowing that if his husband was there, it could only mean that he had shouted so loudly that Porchay heard him from the garden and decided to intervene.

Porchay approached his husband silently. He walked closer until he was so close that he could reach out for his husband waist. Despite so many years, whenever Porchay was close to Kim, he had to fight the urge to touch that delicate waist, even though he knew that he wasn't allowed to do so in front of other people.

"You have to admit it, Kim, Type isn't such a threat anymore"

"You don't understand..."

"Don't tell me that I don't understand. Who was the one supporting you during your fight against him right after your dad died? Huh? Or did you forget it? Anyway... I know you had a terrible start, but you must admit that he didn't cause any more trouble after he collaborated with you to make that deal with between the Italian and the Chinese sink"

Kim didn't reply, as he seemed to meditate on Porchay's words.

"Arm, call Pete and tell him that we want to organize a family dinner with all the members of the family and their partners. This way we will get to meet Rain without particular risks" .
