˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ [𝙖𝙘𝙩 𝙤𝙣𝙚, 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙚𝙚 !]Meandering through the countless corridors of Auradon Prep after Remedial Goodness class with none other than Fairy Godmother, thoughts about the villain kids' failed wand heist from the night before still fogged her mind. They were somehow going to pull off getting that magic wand one way or another.
Once Cordelia eventually approached her locker, she furrowed her eyebrows at the sight of a boy painting the white roses she had decorated with, a bright shade of red. Her choices were to politely tell him off or to mess with him. Of course, she chose the latter.
"Alec, son of Alice, right?" She took on a friendly facade, one that she could easily create after having been taught by her father to get what she wanted. Pausing his painting job of the current petal he was decorating, he looked up to acknowledge the girl's presence, but he didn't seem to recognize her. "We have Magic History together... In the morning, well this morning."
His face suddenly turns pale from both shock and realization, "You're the-" She quickly finished his observation, "new girl! Right. Cordelia, daughter of the Queen of Hearts." Alec slowly took a couple of steps back, nervous about what she might do to him if he irritated her one bit. "These are some really pretty roses," she admired his work sincerely, "but see... They were much prettier being plain white, than this fiery red color."
"I'm so sorry, I just couldn't help myself from you know? Painting them," there was evident fear in his voice, seeing the subtle smirk plastered on her face. "What? Did you really think I was going to want your head? Oh please, you've got to give more credit than that. I'm nothing like my mother, at least when it comes to temper and punishments."
Helping him clean up the mess he's made on the floor, he thanks her before making his way around the corner.
"Making conversation to gain new alliances, I see?" A voice from behind spoke up as she opened her locker to put her books inside. Glancing over her shoulder, she was met with the sight of her friends. "Slowly but surely, step by step, we're going to get Fairy Godmother's wand."
"And how do you know that little Alec in Wonderland will get us there?" Jay quipped as he stepped forward to stand beside her. Placing a hand on his shoulder, now fully facing him, "Connections to the crown are key. On the plus side, Mother will finally get her revenge on good ol' Ally."
"I like your way of thinking," realizing that there were only a few minutes left until the next period, they knew it was their cue to get going, "See you later, C. " The girl waved goodbye to her friends, watching them leave for their next set of classes and extracurriculars.
Slamming her locker door shut, her eyes met a pair she didn't expect would come around. "Hey." Prince Ben was leaning upon the lockers next to hers. She raised an eyebrow with suspicion, "Hey."
"How was your first day?"
"Super," she responded sarcastically.
"You should really think about taking this talent off the locker and into the Herbology club," he proposed, noticing how it was adorned with a mixture of white and scarlet rose flowers, "I could sign you up. What do you think?"
"Way to take all the fun out of it," Cordelia scrunched her face together, before brushing past him to get to her next class on the opposite wing of the school.
"Huh," he sighed as a statement, not a question. Giving it much more thought than supposed to, Ben felt as if he was starting to fall for the girl's charming demeanor, but he knew he shouldn't... Not when he has a girlfriend whom he very much loves.
Or does he?
