The Mystery of Iniquity is at Work
"For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way." (2 Thess 2:7)
Sin is a terrible thing! Like a parasite, it resides in the flesh and heart of men. God is a righteous God. His righteousness makes sin a regrettable and shameful thing. Ahhh! How well did Ancestor Adam ruin our understanding ! How readily, he and his wife hid themselves from the righteous God ! And how well did we learn from them, to hide !
"Whose ancestors ?" you ask ! Not yours right ? But how well you sin ! How well you delight in it ! How often do you struggle to do what is righteous ! How the sin of your pleasure easily besets you ! How high is the burden and cost of the right doing ! And how well you hide yourself from the righteous God, like Father Adam ? Hence, through the disobedience of one, sin entered the world. You are really the child of your Father !!
What do you seek, you descendant of Adam ? Moral independence from God or moral dependence ? Humanism or piety (attachment to God) ? Self or God ? The passing away or the eternal ? Have you not learned from Your fallen Father the weight of your sin? Have you not learned from the son of your Father to cry, "my sin is too heavy" ?
Who's the enemy here, "the snake in your own heart" or the speck in your brother's eye ? Your self-righteous heart or the sinner, praying daring not to raise his head and to look up to the sky ? Is it the devil ? Is it your atheism due to sciences ? Is it you, "knowing" there's a God but your incredulity and unbelieve in its implications?
The mystery of lawlessness/Iniquity is already at work. Like a mystery it goes on unnoticed and in deceitfulness; iniquity is creeping in. The enemies of our soul: the world, the devil and the flesh, to which iniquity is attached. Their non ending attacks against faith and trust in God, on the heart source of life.
Ahh! "Why did the kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the lord and his anointed!?" (Ps 2:2) They rejoiced for a while because he was like those before whom eyes are turned away, with no beauty that we might seek him.
And we also, all taught he was punished and cursed by God, yet the chastisement of our peace fell on him (Isaiah 53). 'I am', why are you on that cross !? You're the lamb 🐑 of God slain on His Altar !! Cursed man, why are the kings after you? But Behind the rulers is the prince of this world ! Then, beloved son, why do they treat you of Beelzebub !?
Surely a disciple is not greater than his master. If they called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more will they call those of his household (Mat 10:25). Brain washed ? Do as it pleases you ! Ahh Jerusalem ! Jerusalem ! Where is your temple ? Was it no more in 70 AD (Mat 24:1-3)? Most assuredly you'll not see him who's greater than the temple till you say blessed is him that comes in the name of the Lord (Mat 23:39) !
False prophets, the growth of evil even in the church. You wisely abandoned faith or stepped aside, being afraid to get involved ? You are a victim, not the wisest (Mat 24:10-13) ! The power of lawlessness is already at work, and the bride of the Lord is violently assaulted. But now, let us take the war out of the house.
"Through faith we understand that the world was framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which appear (He 11:3)." But through faith, modern science understands that the world was framed by an explosion and a huge amount of unexplainable uncertainties.
