Father Martin checked his phone and frowned. He had just received a message from the Paranormal House headquarters in Rome, informing him of a new assignment. He looked around the van, where his team was waiting for him. They had just finished a successful mission in Kosice, where they had banished a poltergeist that was haunting a local museum.

"Listen up, everyone. We have a new case," he announced. "We're going to the Domica Cave, near the border with Hungary. There's something evil lurking there, something ancient and powerful. Something from the Middle Paleolithic era."

The team exchanged puzzled and curious glances. The Middle Paleolithic era was the period of human history that spanned from about 300,000 to 50,000 years ago, when the Neanderthals and other archaic humans roamed the earth.

"What kind of evil are we talking about, Father?" Sister Anna asked. She was the group's medic and healer, a gentle and kind nun who could heal wounds and diseases with her herbal remedies and holy water.

"I don't know, Sister. The message was vague. It only said that there have been reports of strange noises, disappearances, and sightings of a monstrous creature in the cave. Apparently, some local archaeologists have been exploring the cave, and they found some evidence of a prehistoric cult that worshipped a dark god. They also found some bones, human and animal, that were gnawed and mutilated. They think that the cult performed human sacrifices to appease their god, and that the god is still alive and hungry."

The team shuddered at the gruesome description. They had faced many horrors in their career, but this sounded like something out of a nightmare.

"Sounds like a job for us," Pastor Lukas said. He was the group's tech expert and hacker, a witty and sarcastic Evangelical pastor who could hack into any system or device. He was also skilled with weapons and surveillance equipment. He often argued with Father Martin over theological and ethical issues, but he respected him as a leader.

"Indeed, Pastor. We need to get to the cave as soon as possible, and find out what's going on. We need to stop this evil before it spreads any further. Ibrahim, can you get us there?" Father Martin asked.

Ibrahim nodded. He was the group's driver and pilot, a friendly and humorous Muslim immigrant who had served as a soldier in the Middle East. He was also a master of disguise and infiltration, and could blend into any environment or culture. He had joined the group after they had helped him escape from a terrorist organization that was using dark magic.

"Sure thing, Father. I know the way. It's about a two-hour drive from here. Buckle up, everyone. It's going to be a bumpy ride," he said, as he started the engine and drove off.

Eva, the youngest and newest member of the team, looked out the window and felt a surge of excitement and fear. She was the group's researcher and analyst, a curious and adventurous young woman who had a strong interest in the paranormal and supernatural. She was also a psychic, and could sense and communicate with spirits and other entities. She had joined the group after they had saved her from a demonic possession.

She wondered what they would find in the cave, and what kind of creature they would face. She hoped they would be able to handle it. She trusted Father Martin and the others, but she also knew that they were dealing with something unknown and ancient. Something that had survived for thousands of years, and that had claimed many lives.

She felt a cold shiver run down her spine, as she sensed a dark and malevolent presence in the distance. She knew that they were heading towards a place of unspeakable evil. A place where the Paleolithic horror awaited them.
