(Cassandra)
I had only just made it to my room when it happened.
A guard bursted the doors of my room as I had just sat on my bed, in a panic, his skin paler than usual and his eyes wide with fear.
"We don't know what happened, but your prisoner! It turned into a beast, and we need you my queen" he bowed as he spoke, his voice quivering.
Maybe he is new, had he never seen one of these wolf peoples forms, was this why he was in such fear.
I brushed him off, "I believe my men to be competent in there abilities to deal with a wolf, if she has changed it should be no problem, just knock her out, go on now" He looked up with me, with a pained expression on his face.
"I'm sorry to disturb you my queen-"
"If you are truly sorry, you will silence yourself right now" I commanded, as I gave him a cold stare. His gaze fell to the floor, but he punched his fist in the ground and continued
" but this request was not made by me. The Guard leader asked for you or the High power, this is much more than we could handle, I am so sorry my queen and I will pay for my insolence, but right now we cannot allow this beast to escape the castle and enter the towns" He stood up and held the door open for me to follow, still quivering, no longer in fear of the beast but of the expression on my face.
However, I allowed it to pass, a request from the guard leader was rare. I waved at him to lead the way, and we rushed down the castle to the bottom floor. As we got closer the smell of vampire blood filled my nose. There was constant screaming and t he sound of bones breaking. As we approached the last flight of stairs, I saw the Guard leader, just as pale as the boy who he sent for me.
"My queen, I'm sorry, but our forced are just not strong enough to deal with something like this. This thing, this beast you've brought into our home, we've never encountered anything like it, we need your strength." I still was confused, what damage could, was one wolf doing. Had the deal truly not satisfied her, and had she chosen to put her rage out on all of us.
I obliged his request, and told him to tell the guards fighting to escape, I would deal with her myself. The guard leader warned me, however I shot him a glare, he should not underestimate my strength. She had already been hit with doses of wolfsbane, however they didn't seem to affect her according to the guards who had made it out. Many were severely injured and two dead. The higher power was nearby, but I disregarded them as this was a problem I alone should face. I did make the decision to bring her hear.
I made it down the final flight of stairs. It was eerily quiet, however she was hear. The dog stench on her had become much stronger, and I could tell she was nearby. I heard a heavy breathe behind me and whipped around, I was face to face with her for only a second before she knocked me with her large paws into the wall.
How had she gotten behind me so fast!
I was dazed, as my eyes focused back I could see her, or whatever she had become. I understood why they needed me, she was no wolf. Nothing like the wolf people I had seen and fought. It had the face of a wolf, but it was much larger. It stood up on two paws and towered over me, it must have been 8-9 feet tall. Its muscles were huge, its brown fur covered in blood, and its yellow eyes full with blood lust.
It gave me no time to recover and launched at me, arms extended and jaw wide open ready to bite. I quickly moved out of the way as it ran into the stone wall, causing it to crack. It swiftly turned towards me again, and did the same movement. Once again I dodged as it ran into the wall.
It doesn't seem to be intelligent, its running at me blind with rage
It didn't seem to think much thoughts besides attack. We repeated this game of jump and dodge. My plan was to tire it out, allow the wolfsbane time to set in. However, it seemed as though this beast had unlimited energy and only got faster with time. In frustration it stopped for a moment, letting out large huffs and growls in my direction, then smiled like it knew something. We continued our dodging game but it changed. It was getting harder to dodge, and it was starting to learn my patterns. Pretending to jump at me, and watching where I dodge to next. Giving me less time in-between jumps while predicting where I jumped. I needed to be careful. With each second of pause I went over my options. I felt the silver blade on my side that I had kept hidden, I hadn't wanted to use it, but maze caught me off guard.
