Y/N's POV:

The alarm clock shrieks again like it does every morning, instantly waking me up from another slumber.

I usually switch it off to get more sleep but today I have an important task at hand. Laundry.

I try to get out of bed when I realize that a pair of strong arms are holding me down. Oh yes, how could I forget that Jaemin came home last night.

I slowly try to squirm away from his hold by removing his arm around my waist but that just makes him hold me tighter.

"Where do you think you're going?" Jaemin's deep morning voice startles me.

"I have work to do." I turn around to face him.

On this note, he doesn't stop me. Instead, he gets even more comfortable by placing his hand at the back of my head.

"No, you don't have work. It's Sunday today."  He insists, by pulling me closer, eyes still closed.

"Jaemin-ah, let me go. I have to do the laundry."

"It's been long since we've had a morning like this, and today I'm finally off. Can't we stay in bed?" He finally opens his eyes.

"Babe, we'll cuddle when I'm done. Just let me go now."

My final statement actually works because Jaemin immediately releases me from his hold. I should be worried because he usually wouldn't let me off so easily. Is he angry with me?

Albeit, I have to take this chance now to do what I had planned to.

Getting out of bed, I'm about to enter the bathroom when I see that Jaemin has covered himself from head to toe now. Which means that he is sulking.

I shake my head at him, deciding to leave him alone for now because I'd make it up to him later on.

So I get on with my work. Starting from freshening up in the bathroom by doing my skincare and brushing my teeth.

After that I head straight into the laundry area, where the dirty clothes are, to separate the colors in order to start the washing. It doesn't take long for me to start obviously because of the successful inventory called the washing machine.

This also gives me time to do something else while I'm waiting for the clothes. So I head to the kitchen with intentions of preparing breakfast.

I find that Jaemin has beat me to it, as he is cooking something up while wearing nothing but an apron and just pants.

"My handsome chef." I say taking a seat on the island.

"My beautiful laundry girl." Jaemin teases by pointing the spatula at me.

I can tell that he is still cranky from earlier but I choose to ignore it. Only because I did deny him the luxury of sleeping in today. Especially since he hasn't been off work in a while.

With schedules because of promoting their recent comeback. Nct Dream has been going back and forth, left and right, to different cities and sometimes even countries. It's been a while since we've had a day like this.

"What are you making?" I peer over the table because from my angle, I can't get a good view of the stove.

"Come around, then you'll see." He offers to which I don't trust.

Knowing him, he is definitely plotting something. Towards or against me, I'm not sure. It's hard to tell with a boyfriend like Na Jaemin.

Despite not trusting him, I still walk around the island to meet him.

Just like I'd expected, he doesn't give me a chance to speak. Jaemin lifts me up on the kitchen counter. I knew it that he was plotting something.

"Omelet." He answers my question from earlier. "You-" He starts again but something disturbs him.

Another alarm clock I had set to tell me that my washing is done. Jaemin sighs heavily also because he knows what it means.

"You were saying?" I tilt my head to tease him.

"Go, your laundry is waiting for you." He catches on quickly.

///:

The next few hours is spent with me dealing with the washing and drying, us having breakfast and Jaemin loitering around the house because he is bored (or because he misses me).

I'm almost done with the laundry when I remember that I also need to go grocery shopping. Bringing that up right now to Jaemin will be like a knife to his throat, so I decide against it. Only for his sake.

"Y/N-ah," Jaemin pops his head into the laundry room. "Can we cuddle now?"

My heart literally skips a beat at his cuteness. He looks like a neglected cat.

"Yes, just a sec." I hurriedly fold the last pieces of clothing.

My hands have never worked so fast and in no time, I'm finally done with a week's worth of laundry.

"I need to shower." I voice my thoughts.

"No no, not happening." Jaemin fully enters the laundry room now. "We can do that later."

"Jaem..." I start but to no avail because he won't budge.

Instead, he makes me stand up and proceeds to lift me up on his shoulder. "I'm not letting you go this time Y/N. So just give up."

He has a point. I have already wasted half a day so it wouldn't be right to take up any more time.

We reach the room and he slowly seats me down on the edge of the bed before drawing all the curtains.

"I'm sleepy." He shrugs when I look at him questioningly.

We get into our favorite cuddling position—facing each other—as we get comfortable with each other. Jaemin wraps both of his hands around me once again, while I bury my face in his chest.

The ambiance is peacefully silent and the darkness in the room makes it cozy. Despite having a blanket over us, Jaemin's arms are  keeping me warm instead. It's that feeling of safety that makes me sleep faster.

Until, something rings again. This time, it is his ringtone.

"No." I quietly pray that it is not what I think it is.

Jaemin doesn't make a move to answer his phone and I don't want that either but if I don't make a move, he'll probably be in trouble.

"Answer your phone." I poke his chest.

"No." He stubbornly says.

"Jaemin." I threaten.

"Okay." He gets up unwillingly.

Jaemin then takes his call for the next five minutes. He is not saying anything to the person on the other side, except for quiet sounds of agreement which goes like 'hmmm'.

"I shouldn't have taken that call." He sighs, setting his phone back down.

Realization hits me. "You have to go." I nod sadly.

"Y/N-" Jaemin starts but I don't give him a chance to finish.

"It's okay, work is important." I accept my sad fate.

"Babe wait, you did not let me finish." Jaemin cups my cheek. "I meant I shouldn't have taken that call because it was absolutely useless and it disturbed our cuddling session." He explains and my face lightens up.

"So, you're not going?" I smile.

Jaemin shakes his head with a smile too before I  attack him with a hug. Making him fall over, on the bed, so I'm now on top of him.

"Yay, you're not going." I whisper into his neck.
