Jaane woh kaise log the jinke pyar ko pyar mila
Humne toh jab kaliyan maangi kaanto ka haar mila
Jaane woh kaise log the jinke pyar ko pyar mila

Khushiyon ki manzil dhoondhi toh gham ki gard mili
Khushiyon ki manzil dhoondhi toh gham ki gard mili
Chahat ke nagme chahe toh aahein sard mili
Dil ke bhoj ko duna kar gaya joh ghamsaar mila

Humne toh jab kaliyan maangi kaanto ka haar mila
Jaane woh kaise log the jinke pyar ko pyar mila

They say men love with their eyes and women love with their ears. Men love what they see in a woman. They rate her looks. Pretty eyes, slender hands and hourglass body, she's his Ideal type. He talks to her and likes the way she sometimes smiles at him. She looks prettier when she smiles. I see the way he looks at her like he would do anything to be with her.

I wish sometimes I could walk up to him and tell him how much love I hold for him in my heart. I wish I could make him see that he Is a remarkable person. There's so much more to him than what meets the eyes. I wish I could tell him the things he doesn't even know about himself like how he is intensely animated. Anytime he sees something that makes him sad, happy or excited you could see it in his face and especially his eyes. I wish I could tell him I love the way his eyes shine when he is happy, almost like they hold all the brightest stars in them.

She doesn't love him like that. She could never love him like that. Or maybe she's better off not loving or knowing him like that because all love brings in its wake is chaos and loving a man who only loves what appeals to his eye is even more chaotic. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy.

Nobody should have to hide all the love they hold in their hearts. They shouldn't have to stay up all night thinking that if they had the courage to just express all this love they wouldn't suffer as much.

Before Amal could continue sneaking through her mother's diary, she heard her mother calling for her. She placed the diary back where she had found it. She respected her mom's privacy last thing she'd wanna do was read all of her mother's secrets. Well maybe she already did that but she wasn't going to read it all.

That morning when she went into that storage room to clean it, she was expecting nothing but several hours of misery which she brought upon herself. She promised her mom that she would clean that storage space if she allowed her to go to the picnic her friend had planned. Well, more like her "crush" had planned. Amal would gladly clean hundred rat infested storage spaces if it meant getting to spend an evening with Hania in a park. Who would've thought that she would find her mother's diary.

Who is this man mom was so in love with? She thought to herself as she entered the kitchen to see why her mother called for her.

"You called for me amma?" she asked her mother.

"Yes I did, I had to ask you something."

"Sure, go ahead. You know I would never lie to you. You can ask me anything." Amal assured her mother. It was all true, she had never lied to her mother instead she would simply twist the truth to make it more bearable. That's technically not lying.

"Your teacher called me yesterday and she said that she had 'suspicions' regarding you and your friend Yahya, would you like to explain?" Her mother narrowed her eyes at her.

Ghazal, Amal's mother, was a fiery woman. She was passionate, energetic and assertive. Amal could swear one would feel a room getting colder if Ghazal entered it. Ghazal had always been a tough mother to have, she was a woman who had lost a lot which is why she thinks that all that is left in the world is pain and sadness. Amal couldn't even count the number of times her mother had told her to stay away from love and all things such. Amal knew that this was going to be a long conversation which could possibly end in an argument or her crying her eyes out.
