Two weeks later, I found myself crossing paths with Mia and Liam on campus.

"Oh hi, Sophia, it's nice seeing you here!" Mia greeted, a smug smile on her face.

"Oh hi, Mia and Liam," I responded, my tone casual. I was past the point of feeling hurt or angry.

I had moved on and was in a better place.

"See? I told you I could snatch him," Mia said, her tone triumphant.

I looked at her, my expression unchanging.

"I already knew you could," I replied, my voice steady.

I wasn't going to let her get to me. Not anymore.

"At least I made you cry," Mia said, her tone almost gleeful.

I looked at her, my eyebrows raised in surprise.

"Huh? I got hurt, yes, but I never cried. Is that all Liam told you?" I asked, turning to look at Liam.

He was avoiding eye contact, a clear sign of his discomfort.

"Liam?" Mia turned to him, her tone filled with confusion.

"Didn't he tell you that he came to my house, begging for forgiveness, promising he would never do it again? He even talked to my parents," I revealed, my tone matter-of-fact.

"You two didn't even last for a week and there's already so much drama! Stay strong!" I added, my tone sarcastic.

I couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction at the shocked expressions on their faces.

"Cheaters!" I added for good measure before turning around and walking away.

I didn't look back, didn't want to see their reactions.

I had said my piece and that was enough for me.

As I walked away, I couldn't help but feel a sense of relief wash over me.

I was free from the drama, free from the hurt.

I was moving on, and it felt great.
