Megumi sat alone on a bench, munching on his sandwich as he watched the students pass by. He loved spending his days like this, watching the hustle and bustle of university life while getting lost in his own thoughts. He was surely living up to his outcast reputation. But he didn't mind, he preferred his own company anyways.
As he took another bite of his sandwich, he noticed a figure approaching him from the corner of his eye. He looked up to see it was Professor Sukuna, his striking pink hair seeming to turn into a glowing red under the sun's rays. He almost looked demonic, but Megumi quickly dismissed the thought blinking a few times.
'Hello, Fushiguro,' Sukuna greeted with a sly smile, taking a sip of his coffee as he settled down on the bench next to Megumi.
'Professor,' Megumi responded politely, a hint of annoyance in his voice. He didn't appreciate the professor invading his quiet time.
'Mind if I join you?' Sukuna asked, already knowing the answer.
Megumi shrugged, not wanting to be rude, but also not wanting to engage in small talk. Sukuna didn't seem to mind anyway, he already faced Megumi's blunt demeanour and expected nothing less.
They sat in silence for a few minutes, Megumi munching on his sandwich while Sukuna sipped his coffee. Sukuna couldn't help but feel a sense of curiosity towards the young man next to him. Megumi was so gloomy and closed off, and Sukuna wanted to know what was going on in his mind.
'I've seen you around campus, always engrossed in your books. You should take a break every now and then.' He spoke, crossing his leg and facing forward.
'Don't feel like taking one.' Mumbled the younger, annoyance growing in his tone.
'Do you like philosophy that much Fushiguro?' Sukuna took another sip, his black shoe swaying in a slow rhythm.
Megumi raised an eyebrow at the question. 'I wouldn't be majoring in it if I didn't,' he stated the obvious, his voice still monotone.
Sukuna chuckled, finding Megumi's bluntness amusing. 'I've already seen you're a natural at it, with your sharpness and those gloomy eyes'
Megumi didn't respond, but the corner of his mouth twitched slightly, almost hinting at a smile.
Sukuna's eyes trailed along the floor, reaching Megumi's boots and then slowly going up his long slender legs.
Then he eyed the journal that Megumi was holding onto for dear life, raising an eyebrow. 'A writer too?' he asked, a hint of teasing in his voice. 'Full of surprises, aren't you?'
Megumi could feel his face heating up with embarrassment and he shook his head. 'No it's just.. chaotic stuff,' he mumbled.
But Sukuna was not deterred. He reached out and grabbed the journal from Megumi's hand, making the younger man flinch, then panic and try to take it back. In the process, but in the process he ended up launching himself onto Sukuna and falling miserably onto the man's lap.
Sukuna just laughed, his hand supporting the back of Megumi's head, playfully massaging it. 'Good boy.. now this might be inappropriate,' he teased, causing Megumi to blink uncontrollably and back away at light speed.
'Well if this is chaotic stuff, you better share some,' Sukuna said in a serious tone. Megumi felt so weak and nauseous under his intense gaze. 'I'm really into that stuff'
'And what gives you the right to stick your nose in my mind?' Megumi retorted, his gaze meeting Sukuna's in a confrontation.
'Hmmm..I have no right, I'm interested. That's enough of a good reason.' Sukuna replied, biting his lip in amusement.
Megumi felt humiliated and embarrassed. He didn't like the idea of someone reading his writing, especially not that man.
'Or you can sit here and read it to me yourself if you prefer it this way,' Sukuna teased, patting his thigh.
Megumi's cheeks turned even redder, and he turned away in defeat. 'You're..something else, Professor Sukuna.' He managed to complain through his gritted teeth.
The man grinned knowingly 'I've heard much worse' Then he started reading the page that Megumi had written that day, his gaze savouring each line. His long nails traced the words as if he was memorizing them, and Megumi could feel his heart racing in his chest.
Out of the corner of his eye, Sukuna noticed Megumi glancing at him curiously. With a mischievous glint in his eye he drowned in the boy's features. Sharp jawline, rosy lips, and piercing blue eyes that seemed to stare right through him.
'You know, Fushiguro-kun,' Sukuna begins, his tone already provocative. 'You have quite the long lashes. You should be grateful, it's a rare trait in males.'
Megumi's eyes widened in surprise, not knowing how to react to such random comment. He shifted uncomfortably, unsure of what to say and he decided not to spend any word because that would've worsened the teasing and he preferred to avoid getting more of that.
Sukuna chuckled, his deep voice rumbling through his chest. 'You're silent now? I can't tell if you're blushing or if that's just your natural complexion.' He took a slow sip of his coffee, his eyes not leaving Megumi's face for way too long.
'Shouldn't you be focused on the journal you took with no permission?' Megumi stammered, trying to hide his embarrassment. He was having enough of that.
Sukuna arched an eyebrow, a devilish glint in his eye as he finished reading from the journal. 'What can I say, I'm good at multitasking! ' At which Megumi scoffed.
But then Sukuna suddenly asked for a red pen and Megumi reluctantly fumbled in his bag to give him one. He watched with confusion as the man quickly wrote something on the corner of the page and handed it back to him. Finally.
'And who gave yourself the permission to write on someone else's journal? Oh right..no one again.' Megumi fumed on his sit, the blue in his eyes furious.
'Such a quick learner,' Sukuna praised with a wink, 'Thank you for the little show. Now..I'll be seeing you around, Fushiguro-kun.' He stood up and stretched widely, Megumi couldn't help but stare at him, wondering what the heck just happened.
Sukuna said nothing more, he left whistling and Megumi was glad the man finally disappeared from his sight. He cautiously opened the journal to find a note with a phone number written on it. 'Anytime, share your chaos,' it read.
For the rest of the day, Megumi couldn't focus on anything else, not even his books.
